This article deals with the effect of Problem Based Learning (PBL) in the development of the emotional intelligence of first-semester students in a private university in Lima. To achieve this purpose, an applied research was carried out, using the experimental method (quasi-experimental design), given that the independent variable (PBL) will be manipulated so that it produces an effect on the dependent variable (Emotional Intelligence), which will be measured. To do this, a sample of 48 students was taken, it was divided into two groups: one of control (24) and the other one experimental (24) of a total population of 1281 freshmen. For the collection of data, the Bar-On Emotional Intelligence Inventory (I-CE) test was used as a pretest. PBL methodology was then applied throughout 16 learning sessions to the experimental group, while the control group received traditional learning methodo...

The importance of positive emotions in the teaching and learning of mathematics and the game as a generator of these emotions is highlighted. In this context and within the framework of problem creation, the invention of games that stimulate mathematical thinking is presented. The ludic experiences developed with children and in workshops with teachers in training and in exercise, lead us to conclude that the invention of games, as well as the creation of problems, must be considered in mathematics education as a means and an end. As a means, more oriented towards children, because it stimulates creativity, intuition, mathematical thinking and self-learning; because it favors the stimulation of positive emotions in learning; and because it also generates positive attitudes towards mathematics. As an end, more oriented towards teachers, because it is essential that they develop problem-cr...

Mental health is one of the main problems of the 21st century worldwide and in Peru, also affecting the education sector. It is estimated that 40.6% of teachers suffer from chronic work-related stress, depression, anxiety and neurological problems, a situation that is exacerbated by the fact that the majority of Peruvian teachers are over 50 years of age. This situation highlights a high psychosocial risk and the need for relevant socio-emotional assessment tools that are adapted to the reality of Peruvian teachers. In this context, the objective of this research was to construct and validate the Adult Emotional Development Questionnaire (CDE-A19), aimed at emotional management in teachers at public educational institutions in UGEL 04 – Comas. The study was conducted with a sample of 167 teachers, aged between 28 and 64, from institutions in the districts of Comas (52.6%) and Carabayll...

Emotional distress during perimenopause cannot be accounted for only by hormonal fluctuations. Actually, these emotional problems arise from the complex interaction of biological, social and psychological events that coincide in this period of life. The experience of menopause, understood as the end of reproductive life, is influenced by previous psychological growth, which determines how the woman will deal with the challenges of adulthood, namely the loss of some functions and the need to make a balance of expectations and achievements, in order to widen the repertoire of coping strategies in order to face ageing successfully. Role transitions (children leaving home or returning, illness of parents or spouse, changes in the workplace, loss of support networks) impact on emotional well being as do the culturally determined conceptions about menopause of the woman and those around her. O...
