: A conceptual proposal of the profiles and roles that communicators can assume during the coverage of a disaster was developed based on the discourse analysis of the interventions made by the anchorpersons of the Chilean broadcast TV newscasts during the 8.8 Mw earthquake of 2010. This was used to identify and describe the presence of three potential profiles: informative (descriptive presentation of the content), judgmental (a judgment position prevails), and of dialogue with the audience (direct message to viewers). The data shows that the predominant profile was the informative one, whereas the judgmental appears strongly during the first days of disaster and then weakens, and that the dialogue with the audience is strengthened from the third day. The article is an approximation to the social historical dimension of risks and disasters throughout our Republican History. It analyzes, based on 23 relevant cases that occurred in five periods of history, how the social, demographic, economic and political dynamics influenced such disasters and how they determined economic, political, social and institutional changes; It concludes with some final reflections that include changes in approaches and strategies in the face of disasters and current challenges. This case study discusses a problem identified in the global literature: the difficulty of national states in translating their policy instruments for disaster risk reduction and climate change adaptation into effective actions at the local territorial level. We review two perspectives on the territory and modes of intervention: (i) those of government agencies within the Huascarán Biosphere Reserve in Áncash and (ii) those deployed by local organizations in the context of a disaster risk reduction project. Objective. The present research aims to analyze the individual, organizational and community resilience of teachers in vulnerable contexts from a descriptive review of the literature. Methods. For the data collection process, the databases Scielo, Scopus, Proquest, Web of Science (WoS), ScienceDirect were used, 20 original research articles published between 2015 and 2021 were selected, including quantitative and qualitative articles. El presente estudio se enfoca en las disrupciones de la cadena de suministro, factor importante en el contexto actual de aumento de desastres naturales, inestabilidad política y otros factores intencionales y no intencionales. Aplicando un estudio de caso cualitativo realizado en la industria agrícola peruana, esta investigación presenta cinco proposiciones, llegando a los siguientes resultados: (a) las disrupciones en la cadena de suministro son un factor considerado por las empresas cuando deciden externalizar la logística, alineándose con la literatura previa sobre la gestión de riesgos de la cadena de suministro. This article examines the way in which the 2010 earthquake affected the everyday life of witnesses of this disaster in the southern part of Chile. There were applied 32 in-depth interviews to direct witnesses. There are 3 categories in the path of post-disaster everyday life: rupture, recovery and reconstitution. The results show the witnesses’ quality as biopolitical actors in everyday life in a neoliberal context and the use of biopolitical strategies to produce normality in the frame of this socio-political regime. The shared experience after disaster does not allow to remove the backgrounds in which neoliberal everyday life happens.

Objetivo: Este estudio tiene como propósito: conocer, analizar y describir cómo los enfermeros gestionan los riesgos y desastres en la pandemia del COVID-19 en el hospital General Ambato. Materiales y métodos: El escenario seleccionado para este estudio fueel Hospital General Ambato, con la participación de 25 enfermeras, tanto del área de cuidado directo como del área administrativa. Para la recolección de datos, se utilizó una entrevista semiestructurada, la cual fue validada por juicio de expertos y se realizó un estudio piloto. Posteriormente, se llevó a cabo un análisis de contenido temático con la información recopilada. Las prácticas religiosas como efecto de los fenómenos ambientales es una constante en la historia peruana: la relación entre la devoción religiosa y el miedo a los desastres naturales en Lima es una realidad evidente. Esta investigación tiene como objetivo advertir la importancia de este fenómeno en la configuración de la estabilidad social, política y espiritual de la población limeña del siglo XVIII. The Cura Mori district, within the Piura department, was one of the most affected by El Fenómeno del Niño Costero in 2017. This is due to the fact that this district's population centers are situated close to the Piura River's flow. El Fenómeno del Niño Costero caused flooding and damage to the residents' homes, so they were relocated to shelters within the Cura Mori district, between kilometers 980 and 975 of the Panamericana Norte highway. Approximately 1,879 families settled in tents with the hope of later being relocated to proper housing; however, the government program Reconstrucción con Cambios was slow to assist the affected individuals, and as a result, they ended up building precarious homes where they still live to this day (2023). El impacto de los desastres naturales puede afectar la salud mental de las comunidades de manera determinante tanto a nivel personal como colectivo. Es por ello, que investigamos la relación entre el bienestar psicológico y sentido de comunidad de las personas de una zona de alta vulnerabilidad hacia desastre naturales en el este de Lima – Perú donde se presentan con mayor incidencia grandes deslizamientos de lodo y piedras llamados “Huaicos”. Participaron 55 pobladores adultos de los cuales 56.4% eran mujeres y el 43.7 % eran hombres. Se aplicó el Cuestionario de Bienestar Psicológico y la Escala de Sentido de Comunidad (SCI2) adaptada para poblaciones en condiciones de vulnerabilidad.
