Communication for development (CfD) is a discipline that seeks to promote social change through the strategic use of media and participatory dialogue. However, there is a paucity of studies that systematically and critically analyze the social processes underlying CfD interventions and their impact on the social significance of beneficiary communities. This article presents a narrative review of the literature on CfD, with the aim of identifying the main theoretical and methodological approaches that have addressed this topic, as well as the main limitations and challenges facing research in this field. Thirty-five articles published between 2018 and 2023 were analyzed, selected through a search in the Scopus, Web of Science, SciELO, Redalyc and Latindex databases. The Soxhlet method in extracting plasticizers from PVC compounds presents various areas for improvement, such as the amount of solvent used, the time required in the process, and its costs. This study proposes replacing the Soxhlet method with the ultrasound-assisted method to reduce the time, costs, and amount of solvent used in plasticizer extraction. It also proposes using solvent recovered from previous extractions to reduce costs further. The study involved experimentation with three different grades of PVC compounds (medical, cable, and profile) to compare the recovery of plasticizers by the Soxhlet and the ultrasound-assisted methods. This article addresses the issue of the extemporaneous offering of evidentiary means in the labor process, formulated at or after the trial hearing, or after the first instance judgment has been issued. It develops the principles and foundations, the assumptions, requirements and presupposition of the admission in this process. A uniform procedure for the admission and legal action of extemporaneous evidence is proposed in this article. It is eminently practical and based on the experience acquired in the daily judicial work as a magistrate.

The problem posed in this investigation is that a mutual fund management company maintained traditional processes of subscription and redemption of quotas in the funds, which caused great economic inefficiencies and discontent among clients. That is why the objective of this research was to propose a proposal to improve customer service processes through the application of a digital transformation through agile methodologies such as Design Thinking and Lean Startup through quasi-experimental practical research. In this way, it was possible to increase profits and customer experience. After the implementation, it was evidenced that thanks to this, the number of AUMs and participants increased by +15% per month and +55%, since the implementation, respectively, translating, later, into higher profits for the company (+10%).

This paper describes the utility of image processing techniques to innovate the retail market in the effort to extract useful information from advertising pieces frequently used in this sector.

Since the growing health crisis produced by COVID-19, our economic, social, and judicial environment has undergone several changes. Among these changes are the measures adopted by the judiciary to continue protecting rights and to continue with «normality» in its own work. This article comments on Directive No. 007-2020-CE-PJ approved by Administrative Resolution of the Executive Council of the Judiciary No. 000167-2020-CE-PJ, which implemented the «Simplified and Virtual Process of Food for Children and Adolescents». Indeed, it will be analyzed its main scopes and relevant modifications with regards to the traditional process. Likewise, the experience of the Superior Court of Justice of La Libertad with respect to the implementation of the virtual form of food demand will be taken into consideration.
