There is abundant literature on the distance between the training of Latin American communication and journalism graduates and the labor market demands. However, few studies are concerned with a historiographic analysis of the reasons for such distance. In order to understand these causes, we carried out a systematic historiographic documentary research. We worked with digital repositories and incorporated articles published in indexed journals, books and chapters from books by some of the region’s most renowned communication professionals. The results show that to prevent graduates from being marginalized by the market, it would be necessary for communication faculties to comprehensibly study the characteristics and evolution of the socio-productive system and the market, as well as the characteristics and evolution of curricula. A difusão das tecnologias de informação e comunicação (TIC) no Paraná está associada a iniciativas de desenvolvimento locais, ao longo dos anos 2000, por meio da formação de Arranjos Produtivos Locais (APLs) especializados e vinculados às diferentes regiões do estado (Região Metropolitana de Curitiba, Maringá e região, Ponta Grossa e região, Londrina e região, Região Sudoeste, Região Oeste). Esses APL estabeleceram programas voltados a temas de interesse comuns, notadamente o desenvolvimento de conhecimento em TIC, com ênfase na qualificação de mão de obra. In recent decades, this type of explanation has been incorporated into the dominant paradigms in sociology and political science, where it has achieved both theoretical and methodological advances, above all through the process tracing technique. In contrast, in communication there continues to be an almost exclusive dominance of theories and research using interpretive or variance methods. This paper argues that advances in the mechanism paradigm in other disciplines can be exploited by researchers in the field of communication who wish to study both classical issues in the discipline and social processes in which communication is involved as a relevant causal factor. This paper proposes a close observation for journalism in the era of WhatsApp from the follow up of the program from April 8 to 12, 2019 of “Jor- nal BandNews Rio – 1ª Edição”, a radio news programme. From the thinking of researchers such as Lage (2001), Traquina (2005), Castells (2015), Wolf (1985) and Aguiar (2014), the study strains around classic theories such as newsmaking and gatekeeper in contemporary times. In conclusion, it presents the changes in the routines of press professionals that make it possible to think about the emergence of zapkeeper and audience newsmaking.

En el presente artículo se analiza la forma de aplicación de los criterios del Comercio Justo en las empresas exportadoras de artesanía textil de la región Puno; para el estudio se consideraron criterios como: transparencia interna o externa, desarrollo de habilidades, criterio de promoción del Comercio Justo y el respeto al medio ambiente. El estudio es de tipo descriptivo. Los resultados señalan que la aplicación de los criterios del FAIRTRADE (Comercio Justo), no se desarrolla con profesionalismo a causa de la falta de personal especializado en las áreas de promoción y comunicación, contribuyendo como consecuencia a la desinformación del objetivo principal que busca el FAIRTRADE (Comercio Justo) frente a la calidad de vida de las artesanas y los artesanos de las empresas que buscan mejorar su economía familiar.

La mortalidad materna, la mortalidad infantil y la desnutrición crónica, se dan entre dos y tres veces más en poblaciones indígenas por la menor oferta de servicios de salud y menor acceso, producto de la dispersión geográfica, la escasez de vías de comunicación, las brechas culturales entre las creencias y prácticas en el cuidado de la salud existente entre las comunidades y los establecimientos de salud, cuya causa principal son la pobreza y la desigualdad. The objective of the study was to describe the criteria used by pet owners in Metropolitan Lima when they decide to resort to euthanasia. The study developed corresponded to an observational, descriptive, and cross-sectional study. It used surveys implemented in Google Forms format. The survey data were automatically stored in a Google Excel database and summarized using descriptive statistics. Of the 405 pet owners surveyed, the majority were female (75.1 %), between 26 and 50 years of age (55.1 %), and had a university education (78.8 %). Likewise, 99.8 % of participants had heard about euthanasia; 50.1 % had used this service for an animal they owned; 99.0 % considered that they decided to use this procedure for relevant and appropriate reasons. It is known that mining activity is synonym of investment, growing and development, however many times it becomes cause of controversies, difficulties and unrest; not only between the mining enterprise and the impacted communities but also the government gets involved in the conflicts.
