In this work we present preliminary analysis of the astronomical photometry program for stellar clusters observed at OAUNI on the last years. Up to date twelve open clusters and nine globular clusters have been observed, in general, in more than one broadband filter. Multicolor photometry for selected clusters is shown along with a color-magnitude diagram for one open cluster. These measurements are the first ones of their kind collected by a peruvian astronomical facility.

In the last decade the multicore processors had emerged with the comeback of the symmetric multiprocessing (SMP) after a long decade in which the based OpenMPI clusters had dominated the high performace processing world. Actually, we have in the market 2, 4 and 6 multicore processors; the Cell BE processors with a Power Processor Element (PPE) and 8 vectorial processors called Synergistic Processor Element (SPE), and graphics processors which have from 48 to 448 cores dedicated to numerical tasks. In the present work, we show our experience in the interaction with these processors, discussing the programming techniques and the future possibilities for making low cost numerical tasks.

The end of the middle school is characterized by interpersonal and academic challenges, in addition to high levels of school dropout and failure. However, there are few studies that aim to investigate this period of the educational trajectory, in order to identify personal and contextual resources. Thus, this study aimed to analyze psychosocial adjustment profiles of students, considering risk factors (exposure to violence and daily discrimination), protection (social support and school climate) and adjustment indicator (life satisfaction). 709 students who attended the 7th, 8th and 9th grade of public schools participated. This study classifies the entrepreneurial profiles of students enrolled in the Business Development course at the National Agrarian University La Molina (UNALM), analyzing the variables of gender, age, and field of study. A non-experimental quantitative methodology was employed, using a survey validated by the Wadhwani Foundation, followed by a cluster analysis with the K-Means algorithm. The results identified two clusters of students with entrepreneurial tendencies and revealed a significant relationship between gender, age, and field of study with entrepreneurial profiles. Findings indicate that each student exhibits at least one type of entrepreneurial style, with certain profiles being more prevalent depending on gender and field of study. This study provides valuable insights for designing educational programs that foster entrepreneurship among diverse student groups.

The resolution of triangular systems is a computational nucleus widely used in various scientific applications. This research performs the implementation and comparison of several parallel algorithms against an efficient sequential algorithm for solving triangular systems. The algorithms are distinguished by the way of partitioning the matrix and the allocation to the processors. The analysis of the behavior of the algorithms is performed in the solution of systems of linear superior triangular equations in a cluster of computers. For this, the arithmetic time, communication time, speed-up, and maximum efficiency metrics are taken into account. Experiments were performed for each algorithm with different matrix sizes on various processors. The algorithm with the best results was the one that blocks the rows of the matrix and applies a cyclical distribution in the cluster.
