The child with cancer that, as a result of the hospitalization, has been suddenly forced to abandon his home, his province, their customs; that has experienced family separation due to the schedules of the health center; that is opposite to medical procedures necessary for its treatment, where you will experience pain and generalized discomfort; shall, inevitably, high levels of stress and anxiety, symptoms of psychological and behavioral clear that will produce the blockade of important processes at cerebral level, preventing the regular learning. However, are identified substantial factors that produce this blockade, so as to put in place mechanisms adapted to teaching and activate the learning process in hospitalized children with cancer.

The following is an exploratory study that intends to precise the way in which a group of parents of children diagnosed with cancer mentally represent this disea~e and its etiology. For this, 63 parent of 50 children who were beginning their treatment were interviewed. At a qualitative leve!, a content analysis wa~ carried out which allowed the definition of representational categories. With the frequency registration of the latest, a statistical analysis of the main component was carried out which informed of the presence of twelve representational groups. El proceso de diagnóstico de un cáncer puede generar diversas afectaciones a los pacientes y sus familiares; sin embargo, existen factores psicosociales que pueden llegar a afectar aún más dicho proceso. El objetivo es conocer las necesidades psicosociales de mujeres con cáncer de mama desde su experiencia en el proceso de diagnóstico, para lo cual se diseñó un estudio cualitativo con una perspectiva fenomenológica. Worldwide, colorectal cancer is the third most common cancer in both sexes, but in developed countries it is the second. It is possible that interactions between platelets and tumor cells influence the process of tumor metastasis. Antiaggregants and anticoagulants have a powerful inhibitory effect on the interactions between platelets and tumor cells, as well as on spontaneous or experimental metastases. In this sense, the study of the role of cytokines and treatment with antiaggregants and anticoagulants could become clinically useful, especially in patients with other poor prognostic factors, especially the advanced clinical stage.

Se obtuvieron diecinueve VHHs (dominios variables únicos de los anticuerpos de cadena pesada) que unen a CD105 (endoglina) humano, un co-receptor endotelial de TFG-β implicado en la regulación de la angiogénesis y el desarrollo de tumores, mediante screening por phage display de una biblioteca de ADNc de VHH obtenida de alpacas inmunizadas con un lisado de una línea celular de cáncer de vejiga que sobreexpresa CD105 (T24). Las secuencias de los VHH se analizaron con ExPASY, GeneDoc y BLAST y mostraron las características estructurales típicas de los VHHs.
