Introduction: Work engagement is a relevant positive psychological effect in the literature, and validity studies of the ultra-brief version of the Utrecht Work Engagement Scale are practically nonexistent in Latin America. Objective: to identify the psychometric properties of the ultra-brief version of the Utrecht Work Engagement Scale (UWES-3) and to analyze its equivalence with the UWES-9 version in a sample of teachers from a public university in Mexico. Method: the final sample consisted of N=247 university teachers, who answered the 9-item and 3-item versions of the UWES and the Burnout Evaluation Questionnaire for Education Personnel (CESQT-PE) to estimate its discriminant validity. Developing countries have been, in most cases, sceptical about the implementation of intellectual property protection (IPP) with the premise that this policy will hurt the coverage of medicines because the price of the drugs will be substantially high. This claim has overlooked the long run effect of IPP and has dismissed the other relevant policies to tackle the low drug coverage in poor countries. In this paper we measure the impact of IPP on Antiretroviral drugs coverage in 59 countries. According to our estimates, an increase in one unit in the IPP, measured by Park-Guinarte index, leads to an increase of 6% in antiretrovirals prices. However, the overall impact of IPP on coverage is positive; in fact, the marginal impact of a unit of increase in IPP on coverage is almost 14%. In this paper we present the study to obtain biopolymers from potato starch, for use as a food packaging, starch with acetic acid was changed to 5% yielding a polymer with a 61.76% amylose and 38.28% amylopectin. The elongation and tensile tests showed that the modified starch presented better mechanical property. Also, additives were added to the films by modified starch for to make the film improved mechanical properties and texture for this to Xathan Chitosan and were used in different ratios, determining an improved mechanical property of the biopolymer were prepared. This was corroborated by elongation and tensile tests, yielding values of 33% and 8.47 N respectively and the Infrared spectroscopy -vis made Uv showing characteristic peaks biopolymers cellulose and good transmittance of 87%. All samples were obtained following the Taguchi method.

The persistence of subordinated and unequal gender relations affects women preventing them from fully enjoying their substantive right to equality. The gender- neutral language of laws can exacerbate challenges women face for their rights to be acknowledged. For that reason, gender mainstreaming constitutes an effective tool which enables adjudicators to better assess the facts and evidence of a gender-related case and thus construe laws in such a way as to adjust the structural imbalance between men and women. In recent years, courts have resorted more frequently to this tool to adjudicate cases. . However, it is still in an early face as regards the division of marital assets. For that purpose, this papers reviews, as an example, some Argentine judgments in which this approach helped restore the property rights of women.

Peru has not only one of the highest victimization rates in Latin America (24%), but also the lowest rate of reported crimes (15%) (Latinobarómetro, 2016) The purpose of this study was to identify the characteristics of the crimes and the characteristics of the individuals that predict the decision of reporting four different property crimes (burglary, auto theft, auto parts theft, and motorcycle theft). To this end, a seven-year survey of households at the national level in Peru was used (2010-2016). The estimations were made using multilevel mixed effects logistics regression, in order to control for characteristics of the environment that also influence the decision to report. Background: The Intolerance of Uncertainty Scale short version (IUS-12) has proven to be a robust self-report measure to assess intolerance of uncertainty. While previous psychometric analyses of the IUS-12 have established a stable two-factor structure corresponding to the prospective and inhibitory factors of intolerance of uncertainty, recent studies suggest that the bifactor model may better explain its factor structure. The article analyzes how family structures in Peru have evolved and how Article 495 of the Civil Code does not adequately reflect this diversity. Currently, only 21.8% of family units in Peru correspond to the traditional family, while 61.4% adopt other forms, such as single-parent, same-sex, and blended families, and the current legislation remains focused onprotecting only traditional family units,excluding those who do not fit this model.The analysis of the Registry Court’s resolutions shows that Peruvian legislation maintains a strict interpretation, excluding those without a spouse or dependent children from patrimonial protection.
