This article deals with the asymptotic behavior of nonoscillatory solutions of fourth order linear differential equation where the coefficients are perturbations of linear constant coefficient equation. We define a change of variable and deduce that the new variable satisfies a third order nonlinear differential equation. We assume three hypotheses. The first hypothesis is related to the constant coefficients and set up that the characteristic polynomial associated with the fourth order linear equation has simple and real roots. The other two hypotheses are related to the behavior of theperturbation functions and establish asymptotic integral smallness conditions of the perturbations. Under these general hypotheses, we obtain four main results. The first two results are related to the application of a fixed point argument to prove that the nonlinear third order equation has a unique solu...

The Achenbach Inventory of Behavioral Problems (test/retest reliability = 92) was administered to 908 adolescents in Lima, aged from 11 to 18 years, 621 coming from the control group (normal) and 287 from the experimental group (clinical group with divorced parents). Results showed that the experimental group exhibited significantly higher scores (T ? 70) than the control group (T < 60), the former reaching pathology level indicators. Moreover, a non-significant tendency to obtain higher T scores is more observed in females than in males. From the study results we can state that the Achenbach Inventory is a valid instrument for a screening process of children exhibiting behavioral problems that require psychological or psychiactric intervention in Peru.

A model of family influences on the development of antisocial behavior and scholar problems in adolescents is presented. Two-hundred four students of junior and high school were assessed. Data were analyzed through a structural equation model. Results showed that child abuse, a no cooperative family and mothers' alcohol consumption had a direct effect on antisocial behavior, which in turn promoted delinquen behavior and negatively affected school grades of students. Delinquency and mothers' alcohol consumption had an influence on students' school problems, which could be partially overturned by their social abilities. Results suggest the necessity of counselling for families in arder to prevent school problems and bad grades in adolescents.

Debate on single-sex vs. coeducational schooling has increased over the last years. The purpose of the following study is to produce empirical evidence on this debate by comparing the frequency of disruptive behaviors in students thatattend single-sex and coeducational schools, in order to find statistical correlation. The frequency of disruptive behaviors in students coming from 5 single-sex schools was compared to that coming from 5 coeducational ones. Data came from 844 students aged 14, attending public schools in Callao, Peru. Students from single-sex schools showed less frequent disruptive behavior in each of the three measured categories—disruptive behaviors, behaviors that show lack of responsibility and anti-social behavior. A weak correlation was found between each of the three categories and the main variable. The study controlled for extraneous variables.

The evaluation of socio-affective development in the child population is perceived as necessity in Cuba’s clinical and educational actions due to the low mortality levels that can result in the presence of several health risks among children; on the other hand, and in the specific case of affective problems, there are few valid and reliable tests for their early detection. Objective: To validate the Child Behavior Checklist questionnaire for a preschool population sample (4-6 years) with special needs, in the Cienfuegos province of Cuba. Material and Methods: Two samples, N1 (320 children) as a reference group to obtain percentiles and perform content validation, expert and internal consistency, and N2 (60 children) with developmental alterations to validate the percentiles and characterize future potential patients. Results: Adequate reliability values (alpha when the item is removed ...

Adolescence is a period of rapid changes in all aspects of human development. It is at this stage that difficulties and mental health problems occur more often. The purpose of the study was to identify both internalizing and externalizing behavior reported by adolescent in high school. The sample was composed by 298 participants between 12 and 18 years old (M = 14.98, SD = 1.28), of both sexes, (54.4 % women) from two public educational institutions where the majority was enrolled in the 4th year of high school (33.6 %). The sample was selected in a non-probabilistic manner for convenience, and all the participants were informed of the purpose and activities of the study, of the voluntary nature of their participation, and of the care to preserve the anonymity and confidentiality of all data collected. We used the self-report of young people between 11 and 18 years old (YSR 11-18, Achenb...

Finance, as an area of knowledge derived from the economic sciences, is developed so that the users of the information can make three important decisions for the sustainability of companies. The first one deals with investment decisions, which seek to maximize benefits and minimize costs, which, when compared to the total investment and the cost of resources, should generate added value for the organization. To this end, companies must carefully choose the investment options, selecting those that are most likely to generate a return, always within the level of risk that the shareholder can tolerate and understanding that there is also a level of uncertainty that must be considered when determining the desired profit margins or opportunity cost. The second decision, a variable in this research, deals with the cost of resources and the means by which organizations obtain the cash flows they...

Abstract This article describes the results of the implementation of a pedagogy program that is based on tenderness, which was applied in two groups of children of the initial level in order to discover the positive impact on the reduction of aggressive manifestations that children presented. Therefore, the objective focused on determining the impact of the pedagogy program based on tenderness to counteract aggressive behaviors in boys and girls from IEI N ° 313 Héctor Aurich from the district of Ferreñafe and IEI San Gabriel N ° 051 from the district of Pomalca. According to the research methodology, it was an application with a quasi-experimental design, where a pre and post test was used as information collection tools in the study sample, evaluating the dependent variable of aggressiveness. However, the entire population was taken as a sample because it was small and had access t...

This paper presents the calibration study of a two - dimensional mathematical model for the problem of urban air pollution. It is mainly assumed that air pollution is aected by wind convection, difusion and chemical reactions of pollutants. Consequently, a convection-diusion-reaction equation is obtained as a direct problem. In the inverse problem, the determination of the diusion is analyzed, assuming that one has an observation of the pollutants in a nite time. To solve it numerically the nite volume method is used, the least squares function is considered as cost function and the gradient is calculated with the sensitivity method.

Corruption is one of the main problems in Peru, along with crime and citizen insecurity, violence against women, drug use, poverty and unemployment. The latter has increased in recent months due to the COVID-19 pandemic. The objective of the study was to determine common behaviors associated with corruption among university students from Lima, Peru. Among the common behaviors identified, it was found that students, at least once, had bought pirated products (94.4%), offered false excuses to their parents to justify where they were (88.5%), and cheated on exams (74.4%). These behaviors were observed in both men and women. The results show that these behaviors are the result of a broader educational problem that has permeated the morals and ethics of society.

The objective of the research was to determine the predominant dimension that has more influence over the self-concept in students with antisocial behaviors. This work is of a substantive type, of a non- experimental cross-sectional design. The method used was the hypothetical deductive. The sample consisted of 98 adolescents with antisocial behavior, the sampling used was intentional non- probabilistic. The instrument used was AF-5 by Garcia and Musitu (1999). The results indicated that the self-concept that influences adolescents was emotional self-concept.
