In this article, four learning and service experiences (ApS) developed between 2016 and 2019 were analyzed, with the aim of identifying the implications of this educational strategy in the values growth of future professionals. Through a qualitative methodology, which incorporated documentary analysis and focus group discussions, the perceptions of students and academics from the Occupational Therapy program who participated in these experiences were identified. It is evident that, in the territory, it is where the enclave of fundamental values occurs to exercise the future profession, the community agent being a fundamental actor in the training process. The territorial intervention made it possible to strengthen the promotion of values such as empathy, respect, equality and equal opportunities. The way in which individuals and groups explain poverty shapes how they relate to it. This paper inquires the beliefs of university students about the causes of poverty and analyses the relation of these beliefs with their professional training area. An assessment instrument that considers three type of attributions -individualist, socio-structural and fatalistic-, was administered to a sample of 448 advanced university students belonging to nine social sciences programs, aged between 19 and 42 years (M = 22.92; SD = 3.12). The results obtained indicate important variations in the explanations about poverty according to the professional training area. The study aimed to explore the psychometric properties of research competency scales published in the scientific literature in seven databases: Scopus, Web Of Science, ERIC, Embase, EBSCO, PubMed and SciELO between 2014 and June 2023. Thirteen papers were systematized, where 11 scales were found that measured content validity using indexes such as the S-CVI, Aiken's V and item-test correlations. Similarly, the results of the exploratory factor analysis (EFA) and confirmatory factor analysis (CFA) presented adequate fit indices such as CFI, GFI, TLI, SRMR and RMSEA, which validated the factor structure. Reliability was mostly evaluated through Cronbach's Alpha coefficient, yielding high and consistent values.
