The creation of a Virtual Lab, integrated and interactive software, to perform histogram-based binarization of gray scaled images is reported. In an attempt to optimize the binarization the developed virtual lab introduces a Heuristic Binarization Threshold. At processing time, the module extracts the histogram of the input gray scaled image, and then a Heuristic Threshold is calculated by taking the weighted average of the foreground grey levels of the image. Next those pixels in input image whose grey levels are above this threshold are highlighted. Social innovation is recognized by multilateral organizations as a way to cope creatively and collaboratively with social demands that are not satisfied, neither from the public nor from the private. This challenge requires management reliable relationship between actors with diverse and sometimes conflicting interests. In this sense, the social function of public relations (PR) can provide an important service to prevent resistance to social changes that involve innovation processes. The construct validity of six hypothesized dimensions was explored for an Accountancy majorgraduation examination, in order to understand the underlying process of responding. Using answers from 313 examinees to an intentional sample of 17 objective items administered on large scale, a confirmatory factorial analysis was carried out, with a Multi-Trait Multi-Method matrix (MTMM): Traits represented three cognitive operations required to solve the items and the methods represented three knowledge fields of the content. Each item was linked to a cog- nitive operation and to a knowledge field. Software development involves a high volume of data transfer between web-based applications and the end-user; this requires implementing them using new web technologies. This work contributes to developing a web-based application to improve the process management of the security company UNICEPRI, integrating suitable elements such as the Laravel frameworks for the backend and VueJs for the frontend, and the database manager MariaDB. The Rapid Maxillary Expansion that involves the opening of the median palatine suture is used frequently to correct narrow arch maxillary and since the maxillary relates also with the skull base, the objective of this paper was to search in the literature the effects that the Rapid Maxillary Expansion produces on the pterygoid process and the spheno-occipital synchondrosis; analyzed clinically, with compute tomography, bone scintigraphy, cephalometric X-ray and the finite element method. In a society in constant growth, banking institutions have been forced to satisfy more and more the needs of their clients. Among the most requested services are the bank loans, particularly those intended for medium and large-sized companies. This study deals with the development of a proposal to improve the evaluation stage of the business banking credit process, this stage has a duration of 12 days, generating cost overruns and multiple sources of waste. The implementation of Lean thinking, Business process management and the use of simulation will be used to achieve the objectives. The results obtained were as expected, demonstrating that by implementing different improvements in certain critical activities, an improvement of 16.12% can be achieved, thus reducing the duration of the stage by 2 days.

This study analyzes the psychometric structure of the CAPE- R scale, which assesses the beliefs about the educational process in rural teachers; explores the teacher´s profile, and analyzes the significant differences between the beliefs according to sociodemographic variables. The sample included 150 rural teachers from Mendoza, Argentina. The exploratory factor analysis yielded a factorial structure made up of four factors that explained a 44.19% of the variance of responses to the test. Internal consistency coefficients ranged from .74 to .85. The data show a predominance of difficulties in the educational process dimension (M=2.83; DE=.69), the only dimension that reached a significant association with the educational level of the classes (F =4.77, p<.05).

The objective of this work is the design of a prototype of a pneumatic centrifugal concentrator that allows small-scale mining that takes place in desert and isolated places, to process ultrafine gold minerals in situ, cleanly, without the use of water and chemical reagents. A mathematical model based on the physico-phenomenological analysis of the differential sedimentation separation mechanism was applied in a film of laminar flow fluid, to determine the particle trajectory inside the bowl of the centrifugal concentrator as a function of the variables of bowl geometry, operating variables and physical characteristics of the particle and fluid.
