Objective: The study objective was to evaluate the safety and clinical and echocardiographic outcomes of a new surgical technique in adult patients diagnosed with a giant left atrium. Methods: We analyzed a cohort of patients who underwent left atrium reduction surgery between January 2016 and June 2020 performed by a specialized surgical team in 2 national reference centers in Lima, Peru. We assessed the major adverse valvular-related events and the New York Heart Association functional class as primary clinical outcomes. Also, our primary echocardiographic endings were the diameter, area, and volume of the left atrium. We assessed these variables at 3 time periods: baseline (t0), perioperative period (t1), and extended follow-up (t2: 12 ± 3.4 months). La presente investigación cuali-cuantitativa pretende generar aportes para maximizar la exportación de artesanías de cerámica de Ayacucho hacia Nueva York - Estados Unidos de América, mediante el uso de las estrategias y herramientas del marketing internacional. El objetivo de la presente investigación es ayudar a implementar nuevos conocimientos de marketing a las MYPES exportadoras, el método usado para la presente investigación son las entrevistas a profundidad a los profesionales expertos en marketing y las encuestas estructuradas y semi- estructuradas a las MYPES exportadoras de artesanías de cerámica de Ayacucho. Se formula propuestas estratégicas de marketing para la exportación de las artesanías.

Vegetable profilins are considered potent allergens for their cross-reactivity as a result of the high sequence identity. Nowadays an attractive attention is focused to find new ligands to inhibit the active site of allergenic profilins. Some studies have shown that caffeic acid may have a certain inhibitory effect on some allergens. For this reason, we studied caffeic acid as an important ligand and its interaction between seven vegetable profilins. We applied molecular dynamic simulations methods and binding free energy analysis by MM–PBSA. We found that caffeic acid had a favorable behavior, and their coupling was mediated by hydrophobic interactions. Furthermore, the analysis of epitopes showed an important contribution of the secondary structure after docking simulations. © 2019, Springer-Verlag GmbH Germany, part of Springer Nature.

Research shows that consumption correlates with the experience of subjective well-being. However, there is little literature on this phenomenon among young people. This exploratory study aims to know how university students perceive that consumption and brands intervene on subjective well-being and identify the elements they consider in their consumption behaviors aimed at obtaining well-being. A qualitative methodology of phenomenological design was used, with university students from the city of Lima. The analysis followed a process of descriptive coding. La condición superficial y la naturaleza del medio cumplen un rol importante en la resistencia a la fatiga, esto es sobre el número de ciclos necesarios para que aparezca la fisura. Desde un punto de vista ingenieril, cuando la fisura adquiere una longitud de aproximadamente 0.25 mm, se acepta habitualmente que se ha completado la etapa de iniciación. El uso de bioindicadores para determinar la salud de los cuerpos de agua, es de suma importancia por la información actual y retrospectiva de los impactos que podrían estar sufriendo y seleccionarlos implica determinar los valores numéricos de indicación primaria del tazón respecto a los factores ambientales.Por ello se relacionó las variables ambientales con el Índice Biótico Andino del río Chicama, que evidencia entradas de contaminantes; a través de muestreos periódicos en 12 estaciones, en invierno y primavera 2006, se evaluó el zoobentos y variables físico-químicas. It is often conceived not as the place where the person is loved on his own, but as the "power struggles" between his members, especially between woman and man. With the documentary method - bibliographic study - of the conceptual analysis, this paper seeks to clarify some essential elements of the relationships within the family -in order to contribute to a better communication of the family reality- specifically those related to woman and man. The growing activity generated in digital communication platforms is raising new forms of relationship between organizations and their publics of interest. This has triggered, in turn, the production of a large amount of information, an explosion of data known as Big Data. In this new context, there is a need to study how the management of this huge amount of information faced in public relations, which is constantly generated at high speed and which requires even real-time management. In this work, we present a bibliographic review of the current state of research on the management of Big Data in Public Relations. The results showed a total 41 works. A content analysis of these works found that the activities of internal communications, media relations, crisis communications and issues management are the most related to massive data management.

In the age of the Internet, anonymous online users can form a societal reaction by posting large quantities of critique and insulting comments against (perceived) norm violations on social media. These so-called online firestorms, or Enjō in Japanese, tend to include aggressive behavior against the target. This research aims to reveal the dynamics of Enjō and explores how people communicate with each other in the formation process of Enjō by conducting a comparative case study. This study collects tweets posted in five Enjō cases and compares each case to create conceptual categories of the communication process of Enjō.
