The research problem arose from the need to implement a system to remotely manage the traffic operations of the network of traffic lights to reduce vehicular congestion. The procedure involved designing the placement of electronic sensors to track the number of vehicles in the area. This allowed for the testing of different operational strategies for modifying the timing of the traffic light signals. A simulation model was used to test these strategies in seven intersections on Av. Petit Thouars in Lima, between Av. Alejandro Tirado and Av. 28 de Julio. Detectors were installed at the access points of secondary access streets to the main road (Av. Petit Thouars) which yielded cumulative positive results. Alternatives 1 and 2 produced a 59% reduction in queues, thus demonstrating the validity of the general hypothesis.

The study was conducted on 200 students from a private university in Lima (150 female), who belong to four academic programs: Psychology, Administration and International Business, Pharmacy and Biochemistry, and Obstetrics. The objective of the study is to assess the intensity of three social network addiction dimensions: obsession for social networking, lack of personal control about using social networks, and excessive use of social networks. The Social Networking Addiction Questionnaire from Escurra and Salas (2014) was used. Results show low levels for all indicators assessed. Males' scores were significantly higher than females' only in the obsession for social networking indicators. This scientific article evaluates the prediction of hydrometeorological variables, which refer to temperature, precipitation, and flow. The applied methodology is long-term bidirectional recurrent neural networks (BRNN) in a series of 40 years of study for a better perspective on the climatological conditions in Metropolitan Lima until the year 2050. The BRNN model is formed by a single series of past observations, which means that the model analyzes one variable simultaneously to project the next value in the sequence, and unlike other LSTM models, the bidirectional model can model complex and long-time series of sequences efficiently. We have tested a scheme that measures the quality of education (QoE) in the network engineering program through the progress, outcomes or any evidence of the capstone project. We use simple relations based on efficiencies but weighted and with ambiguities. For this end, the performance of students are quantified through the definition of events which are actions that can help weakly or substantially to the progress of the project. In this manner students were suggested to use the following topics in the capstone: (i) Telecommunications, (ii) Basic Sciences and (iii) Programming, in their individual projects. The resulting statistics of the QoE was of order of 62% fact which is interpreted in the sense that one of three of the expected bachelors of engineering has not consolidated its knowledge in the courses with a poor correlation in conjunction to the topics of telecommunications.

We studied the relationship between social skills and use of virtual social networks in students of a public university and a private one in the city of Lima. The sample were 1405 university students and it was an intentional non-probability type. The results indicate that there are negative and statistically significant correlations between total scale scores on social skills and addiction questionnaire to social networks, and in most of the factors of both instruments.

Se estudió la relación entre las habilidades sociales y el uso de redes sociales virtuales en estudiantes de una universidad pública y una particular de Lima Metropolitana. Se trabajó con una muestra de 1405 estudiantes universitarios, obtenida a través de un muestreo no probabilístico de tipo intencionado. Los resultados observados indican que existen correlaciones negativas y estadísticamente significativas entre los puntajes totales de la Escala de Habilidades Sociales y los del Cuestionario de Adicción a las Redes Sociales, así como en la mayoría de los factores de ambos instrumentos.

In this article, a proposed architecture for integrating knowledge graphs and a pipeline that automates the transformation of spreadsheet data into RDF triple knowledge graphs for the open data platform of the ELLAS research network is described. The main goal of the ELLAS research network project is to generate comparable data on gender gaps in STEM in Latin America, and since the data comes from various sources and formats, semantic web will be used to add meaning to the data. The architecture and pipeline proposal is to perform Extract, Transform, and Load (ETL) activities for data storage and availability to end users.

The objective of the present study is the small firm. Particularly, those who have sustainable accumulation capacity through time. Our research was meant to find out the factors that have influenced in the growth of these firms and which are the internal and external interrelations that made possible this growth. According to Conseil International des Musées (ICOM), communication is often not a priority for cultural organi-zations, and even less so when it comes to digital, specifically social networks (2019, p. 5). An analysis was made of the digital responses of two Peruvian institutions, the Museo de Arte de Lima (MALI) and the Gran Teatro Nacional (GTN), to determine how their presence in social networks and on the web evolved. For this purpose, we also talked to the people in charge of the communication areas of these institutions.
