Diabetes is a metabolic disorder, caused by an increase in blood glucose, which commonly affects a large population worldwide. That is why diabetic patients in certain cases require dental care, due to their high prevalence of oral problems or the need for third molar extraction. Due to the above, a bibliographic review was carried out in the Scielo, Pubmed, and Google Scholar databases. There were no language restrictions and 130 articles were considered, according to the inclusion and exclusion criteria, 50 articles with a maximum age of 5 years were selected. As a result, it was possible to establish a care protocol for third molar surgery in diabetic patients, taking into account the different parameters that must be carried out before the surgical procedure. El objetivo de este estudio fue caracterizar las principales situaciones de indicación, contraindicación y accionar profiláctico para la exodoncia de terceros molares, según la literatura. Se utilizaron las bases de datos PubMed, Scopus y Web of Science, con un total de 3 llaves de búsqueda, y se incluyeron publicaciones de máximo 5 años de antigüedad, en inglés o español, con disponibilidad de texto completo. Fueron seleccionados 18 artículos, en los que se determinó que la indicación más frecuente en la exodoncia de terceros molares fue el diagnóstico de pericoronaritis, seguido de caries cervical distal en segundo molar inferior, reabsorción radicular en dientes adyacentes y quistes. This case report describes the orthopedic-orthodontic treatment of a 15-year-old adolescent attended the Dental Center at the University of San Martín de Porres, indicating that his chief complaint was the appearance of his smile. The patient presented a straight profile with a protruding lower lip and a class III skeletal malocclusion (ANB, -2 °), with class III occlusal relations, moderate-severe crowding, right posterior and anterior crossbite, and dentoalveolar compensations. “Parkinson’s disease (PD) is an emerging pandemic caused by aging, longevity, and industrialization. Most people diagnosed with PD initially experience mild symptoms, but over time the symptoms become debilitating. Given their intensive care requirement, most married people living with PD receive care from their spouses; most are female caregivers. Because caregiving is hard work with long hours, caregivers experience stress, fatigue, and depression, often leading to exhaustion and burnout. The purpose of this descriptive phenomenological study is to understand the lived experience of women caregivers of husbands living with PD. As part of this study protocol, women caring at home for their husbands diagnosed with PD will be purposely recruited from the Colorado Parkinson Foundation. Herein, a straightforward electrochemical method was used to evaluate the total phenolic antioxidant capacity in natural extracts prepared from pomegranate, hibiscus, and pitaya. In light of this, the well-known electrochemical index (EI), a screening protocol for natural antioxidant properties evaluation, was determined using differential pulse voltammetry. Initially considering rutin and catechin as standards, we found that the system’s sensitivity greatly increased by using platinum (Pt) and platinum/ruthenium (Pt/Ru) nanoparticles (NPs) immobilized on Vulcan XC-72 to modify screen-printed carbon electrodes (SPCEs). La investigación se tiene como objetivo principal estimar la huella de carbono en base al protocolo de gases de efecto invernadero en la Municipalidad Distrital de Paucartambo de la Región Pasco durante el 2022. Once constellation of satellites are working in a collaborative manner, the security of their messages would have to be highly secure from all angles of scenarios by which the praxis of eavesdropping constitutes a constant thread for the instability of the different tasks and missions. In this paper we employ the Bennet-Brassard commonly known as the BB84 protocol in conjunction to the technique of Cognitive Radio applied to the Internet of Space Things to build a prospective technology to guarantee the communications among geocentric orbital satellites. The simulations have yielded that for a constellation of 5 satellites, the probability of successful of completion the communication might be of order of 75% ±5%.

In the implant rehabilitations supported in the previous sector, a surgical and prosthetic protocol should be carried out as a mechanism to ensure the aesthetics and function of the procedure to be performed. The objective of this clinical case is to present a rehabilitation protocol in a soft tissue test and management document to preserve aesthetics through provisional prosthetic structures, ending with rehabilitation with the zirconium oxide abutment with titanium base and a crown of lithium disilicate as means to achieve high aesthetics. The prediction of a unitary implant in the anterior sector requires the clinician to know three-dimensional structures conjugated with a soft tissue and material handling in an appropriate way, to predict the medium- or long-term behavior in the protection and prevention of aesthetics.

The present report describe the case of an 11-year-old female patient, treated at the Dental Center at School of Dentistry at the University San Martin de Porres, who underwent a treatment of class I malocclusion with severe crowding with asymmetric extractions. Antibacterial activity of ethanolic extracts from 12 macroalgae were evaluated. Extracts were obtained according to the protocol of Vlachos et al. (1996). Extracts were tested against with 5 clinic strains and 6 no clinic strains of the genus Staphylococcus, Enterococcus, Pseudomonas, Escherichia, Salmonella, Aeromonas y Vibrio. Only Grateloupia doryphora, Ahnfeltiopsis durvillaei, Prionitis decipiens (Rhodophyta), Petalonia fascia (Phaeophyta) and Bryopsis plumosa (Chlorophyta) showed some antibacterial activity against the clinic strains Staphylococcus aureus ATCC 25923 and Enterococcus faecalis ATCC 29212 and the no clinic strain Staphylococcus aureus ATCC 6633. Ethanolic extract of B. plumosa presented the highest antibacterial activity against S. aureus strains. The extract of P. fascia showed the highest antibacterial activity against the three sensible strains.
