A bibliographic review was done to update and systematize information on Toxocara human infection. Transmission mechanisms, epidemiology, clinical forms, diagnostic methods and treatment are described. Its importance as an infectious cause of blindness in young people that is potentially preventible and curable by early diagnosis is emphasized. Proposal is done to establish epidemiological surveillance, improve current laws to reduce transmission risk to the general population and increase knowledge on this infection in Peru.

El problema central de reflexión es la discontinuidad de la transmisión del idioma quechua entre dos generaciones (padres/hijos). La pregunta desde la cual se parte es la siguiente: ¿por qué quienes saben quechua no enseñan a sus hijos este idioma? Hay una secuencia lógica del derrotero seguido: referencias históricas y las oportunidades perdidas, datos cuantitativos para ver su evolución, una introspección personal y la elaboración de las conclusiones.

The Toxocara canis parasite represents a worldwide public health problem. This agent is an ascarid that, in its adult stage, lives in the small intestine of the domestic dog and several wild canids; it presents a complex biological cycle that ensures its transmission and permanence in the hosts it affects; in its intestinal phase, it causes mechanical, irritative and obstructive action, interfering in the transit and digestion of food. Cocoa (Theobroma cacao L.) is one of the main crops in Latin American and African countries, its almonds being marketed to produce chocolate. However, different biotic factors can negatively affect the crop production, especially on small farms where management by farmers is scarce or nonexistent. Education in the 21st Century should not be aimed at the transmission of knowledge and information but at developing the capacity to produce and use them. Different experts and international bodies reached an agreement and pointed out that critical thinking, creativity, communication and cooperation are the essential skills to be considered in 21st Century education.

Malaria in Peru, dominated by Plasmodium vivax, remains a public health problem. The 1990s saw newly epidemic malaria emerge, primarily in the Loreto Department in the Amazon region, including areas near to Iquitos, the capital city, but sporadic malaria transmission also occurred in the 1990s-2000s in both north-coastal Peru and the gold mining regions of southeastern Peru. Although a Global Fund-supported intervention (PAMAFRO, 2005-2010) was temporally associated with a decrease of malaria transmission, from 2012 to the present, both P. This thesis studies the monetary policy channel and its transmission in the Peruvian housing market. The role of financial and macroeconomic variables in the conduct of monetary policy is analyzed, in particular the role played by monetary policy in the boom in house prices since the beginning of the 21st century. As an analysis framework, it is carried out in the configuration of a small, neo-Keynesian open economy through DSGE models, estimated using Bayesian methods, which allows alternatively addressing the identification problem, characteristic of the monetary transmission channel.

GB virus C (GBV-C) is a lymphotropic, positive-RNA virus. GBV-C has been found in considerable amounts in healthy blood donors and, in average, it is found in 1.7% of the population. Its transmission is very similar to HIV and HCV i.e. by parental and sexual transmission. The possibility of transmission via breastfeeding has been suggested. GBV-C replicates in mononuclear blood cells, mainly in T (CD4+ and CD8+) and B cells. HIV is a world health problem that until today we don’t have a cure or vaccine. This is transmitted through a vector that sprouts in certain climatic conditions (tropical and subtropical climates).
