Introduction: Panic disorder is characterized by recurrent, sudden attacks of intense fear that reach a peak within minutes. As individuals reach adulthood, its development is influenced by attachment styles developed in childhood, especially insecure styles. Objective: To identify the association between attachment styles and the development of panic disorder in patients at a community mental health center. Methods: An analytical cross-sectional study was conducted, evaluating 121 patients attended between December 2021 and June 2022. Attachment style was determined using the Spanish version of the Bartholomew and Horowitz questionnaire. The diagnosis of panic disorder was made through clinical evaluation by a psychiatrist. Results: Attachment styles were associated with panic disorder (p=0.005), mainly the fearful style (crude RR: 1.767; 95% CI 1.210 to 2.580) and confirmed in the adju...

The authors have summarized the information available to them regarding the problem of human and animal brucellosis in Latin America. Animal brucellosis in Latin American countries is a widespread infection. In cattle attacked in preference to animal milk which reaches its highest prevalence. The suina and caprine brucellosis is second in magnitude. In beef cattle, the infection is lower than in the previous groups, and in sheep there is a small percentage of reactants significant title, there being no verification based on isolation of the germ. Human brucellosis is closely linked to the exploited animals spice. In regions where goats infection predominates the most important vehicle of human infection is ingestion of milk and dairy products. However, where the predominant bovine brucellosis, contact with animals is the main way of transmission to humans. The importance of contact with ...

In the last decades, numerous footbridges experienced excessive displacements in the lateral direction of passage, cases such as Millennium, Solferino and Toda among the most known, which caused that the pedestrian have difficulties in using these structures and often requiring expensive repairs. This research studies the problem of the lateral vibrations produced by the pedestrian crossing in footbridges known as the phenomenon of synchronous lateral excitation through the lateral vibration analysis of the walkway adjacent to the “Rayitos de Sol” footbridge, which crosses the Rímac river, near the center of Lima. This particular footbridge had presented excessive lateral vibrations from its construction in 2006, until 2016 when this research was developed. This particular situation constituted an ideal state for the development of experimental work. Particular details of the phenom...

Accurate estimation of modal parameters of cable-stayed bridges plays a key role in evaluating the safety of these structures under dynamic loads such as traffic, wind and earthquakes. Furthermore, the difficulty in exciting this type of structure makes ambient vibration measurements a significant source of information to validate the developed full three-dimensional finite element models that are used to evaluate the dynamic response of this type of bridges. In this work, the Rayitos de Sol cable-stayed bridge was selected as a case study. To evaluate the modal parameters of the bridge, environmental vibration data were collected from strategic points on the platform. Using data recorded in the field, a series of system identification methods were carried out and then compared in the time and frequency domain. The collected data were analyzed based on only-output identification methods:...
