In current supply chains, the use of AIDC technologies allows the information that flows to be standardized and reliable, as well as obtaining a series of advantages related to saving time and costs. In Cuba, the use of these technologies is not regulated by national laws and most companies do not use them, considering ignorance of their effectiveness as the cause. This article analyzes AIDC technologies: specifically, bar code systems and radio frequency systems, their operation and benefits of their use in supply chains. Based on the existing need, a tool was designed based on a procedure that establishes a guide for the selection of technologies to be implemented in logistics processes. The tool designed is used for Case Studies to know its application and mode of use.

Small and medium-sized enterprises have always proven to be crucial to national economies, yet many of them fail for a variety of reasons. One of them is selecting an inadequate supplier that does not meet the needs that the company requires to properly perform its core business. Therefore, this project proposes to develop a web application to select the best supplier option for a company. The main objective is to assist in decision making and reduce costs with a web application that implements the Fuzzy Analytic Hierarchy Process (FAHP), based on a series of criteria and priorities chosen by the company itself. The globally distributed necrotrophic fungus Macrophomina phaseolina is the causal agent of economically important crop diseases such as soybean charcoal rot. This fungus secretes a wide variety of proteins and metabolites that allow it to invade the plant and initiate the infection process. The role of fungi secreted proteins with hydrolytic activity in the infection process has been extensively studied; proteins without enzymatic activity could also play an important role in this process. The chuscada, or huayno ancashino, is a genre that is part of the traditional Andean music of Peru, which has gained great popularity in recent years as a result of the interpretations of various folk singers. The development of new processes in the textile industry entails designing methodologies to select adequate supplies that fit these new processes requirements. This paper presents a methodology used to select a textile binder that fulfill technical specifications of a new process to produce nonwoven fabrics, highlighting mainly its ability to form a protective film on the textile fibers and cohesion them without staining, weakening or breaking them. The proposed methodology involves three major phases: (1) consulting textile experts, (2) laboratory tests, and (3) factor weighting. The results indicate that there are two products that can be used in this new process: Arkofil and Size plus AC.

This article comprehensively reviews the implementation and impacts of Lean Manufacturing in the plastics industry, with the aim of synthesizing and evaluating how the adoption of these methodologies has contributed to improving efficiency, reducing costs and optimizing production processes. Using a systematic review methodology, 97 relevant articles were selected. The main results of the review indicate that Lean not only improves operational efficiency and reduces waste significantly, but also encourages the integration of advanced technologies such as Industry 4.0.
