The transition of the 30S initiation complex (IC) to the translating 70S ribosome after 50S subunit joining provides an important checkpoint for mRNA selection during translation in bacteria. Here, we study the timing and control of reactions that occur during 70S IC formation by rapid kinetic techniques, using a toolbox of fluorescence-labeled translation components. We present a kinetic model based on global fitting of time courses obtained with eight different reporters at increasing concentrations of 50S subunits. IF1 and IF3 together affect the kinetics of subunit joining, but do not alter the elemental rates of subsequent steps of 70S IC maturation. After 50S subunit joining, IF2-dependent reactions take place independent of the presence of IF1 or IF3. Traditional media (press, radio and television) in South America have better expectations regarding the process of digital transition faced by communication companies and industries on a global level. This hypothesis is contrasted by comparing two elements. First, the evolution trends of the media sector in Latin America collected by sectorial databases of the World Association of Newspapers and New Publishers, the Eurodata´s general audience report, the Pew State of the News Media and the Global Entertainment & Media Outlook 2016-2020. Second, the results of an own survey to 166 managers from 19 Latin American countries. Media managers from the area confirm that traditional media will grow up to 5% and digital media and advertising could reach 10% and more in the coming years..

The article deals with the contentious tax procedure in Peru. After making a brief explanation of the current scheme, some problematic aspects that must be corrected or perfected in the legislation are highlighted, always with the purpose of providing a better service to the citizens who wants to have fast and efficient ways to exercise their right of defense and, linked to it, their right to contradict administrative acts (in this case, issued by the Tax Administration) that, in their understanding, improperly affect their property or rights in an undue manner.A current issue that is also discussed is the transition from the physical file to the electronic file, which has been advanced and is expected to be ready in the future. In this study, a non-experimental, cross-sectional design with a descriptive-correlational scope was used to examine the relationship between cyber victimization and school engagement. There were 391 students who participated, 51.7% male and 48.3% female, aged 13 to 18 years (M=15.3, SD=0.895), from third (24.5%), fourth (38.8%), and fifth (36.5%) grades of secondary school from three private schools in Lima. For data collection, the School Cybervictimization Scale (ECE) and the School Involvement Scale (EIE-A) were applied. Among the results, high levels of cyberbullying victimization were found in 16% and very high levels in 21.7% of students, as well as low levels of school engagement in 20.5% and very low levels in 19.4% of students. El presente trabajo desarrolla un sistema web para la gestión automatizada de expedientes de pago, incorporando un flujo digital con firma electrónica que optimiza la eficiencia, trazabilidad y seguridad del proceso. En las entidades públicas, el manejo tradicional de expedientes físicos genera demoras, duplicidad de tareas y un alto consumo de papel, lo que afecta el cumplimiento oportuno de los pagos a proveedores y la ejecución presupuestal. La solución implementada digitaliza todo el ciclo del expediente, desde su registro por parte del proveedor hasta la aprobación y giro del pago. The aim of the present study was to examine the relationship between students’ cognitive and self-regulatory strategies, academic engagement, and academic achievement in higher education, analyzing the mediating role of reading comprehension. Different tasks to assess the constructs were administered to 209 students (Mage = 21.71; SD = 4.36). The students' GPA was used as a measure of academic achievement. Significant associations were found between cognitive and self-regulation strategies, academic engagement, reading comprehension, and students' GPA. In addition, a positive association was found between cognitive and self-regulation strategies and academic engagement. El presente trabajo analiza el IRI (Índice de Rugosidad Internacional) teórico o geométrico, que es el IRI propio de la geometría de la vía que determina desde un inicio el resultado final del IRI real a nivel de rasante. El tramo de estudio de un kilómetro se ubica en las progresivas desde el km 191+000 hasta el km 192+000 del tramo 2 de la carretera Oyón – Ambo. Con la información del expediente técnico se obtuvo el perfil de la carretera a nivel de rasante, a través del uso del software AutoCAD Civil 3D, generando el eje de la vía con una calzada de 6.60 m con dos carriles en ambos sentidos. Sobre estos carriles se determinaron las cotas de las huellas de circulación cada 25 cm, ubicadas a 0.70 m y 2.60 m del eje de la vía.
