The development of technology is perceived globally as a trigger for permanent changes in the business en-vironment. However, there is one overriding idea that appears immobile against this technological strength which implies that organizations that survive are those that provide more value to their customers. The role of the audit continues to provide assurance services to both internal and external customers. Since the use of technology impacts the way we do business, there must be effective and simple ways to carry out the evaluation of the controls that must exist to ensure that service. The main objective of the research is to determine which methodology should be used to achieve ade-quate control of information technology, risks and vulnerabilities for effective audit process. Our main hypothesis is: The COBIT developed by ISACA is a methodology that should be used to achie-ve adequa...

A synthesized review of visual selection aptitude is presented, within the psychological metatheory called Interconductual Psychology. In principle, we emphasize the importance that learning, based on its biological and of stimulation bases, has for human development. Subsequently Interconductual Psychology is presented as a proposal of psychological system with substantial differences to other systems. Finally, the functional taxonomy developed by Ribes & Lopez (1985) is presented, as a different proposal of characterization of psychological development; and within it we highlight selectory function and its hypothetical relationship with learning to read.

The study analyzes the news coverage of eight Latin American newspapers on the migration crisis that occurred in 2020 as a result of the Covid-19 pandemic, which forced thousands of migrants to forcibly return to their countries of origin, faced with the closure of land borders, maritime and air, problems further exacerbated by the loss of their jobs in the recipient countries. An analysis of qualitative content related to the informative frames present in the digital news published during the first six months since the pandemic was declared globally is developed, observing that the frames of attribution of responsibility and conflict concentrate the news focus on the information published by the media included in the sample, concluding that the journalistic frames on repatriation during the pandemic concentrated the news coverage on the actions of the governments of the Region, especial...

This paper explores the principle of horizontal subsidiarity in the Peruvian legal system, highlighting its importance as a fundamental pillar to balance state intervention and individual freedom in the economy. Starting with the explicit enshrinement of this principle in Article 60 of the 1993 Constitution, the study analyses its application and the challenges it faces in practice, particularly in the economic and social spheres. The paper reviews the historical and doctrinal evolution of the concept of subsidiarity, from its roots in classical political philosophy to its development in the Social Doctrine of the Catholic Church, and how these influences are reflected in Peruvian regulations. The paper also examines the interpretations and applications of the principle of subsidiarity in the jurisprudence of the Constitutional Court and INDECOPI’s decision-making practice, includ...

In this work we propose to analyze the journalistic coverage around the indigenous peoples of Argentina in 15 digital national information portals. In this framework, we developed an exploratory-descriptive methodological strategy that contemplated: survey of cases, systematization, analysis, and interpretation of informative productions on indigenous peoples published between January, February, and March 2021. As a result, we observed a great invisibility of the agendas and realities of these groups, and the preponderance of the conflict frame in news constructions.

The article analyzes the journalistic coverage of the Peruvian cyber media on the recognition of the Historic Sanctuary of Machu Picchu as the first carbon neutral tourist attraction in the world. The main objective was to study the informative quality and the frames that the Peruvian News Agency Andina, El Peruano, El Comercio and La República used in digital articles, from October 2, 2020 to January 7, 2022. Through a mixed approach, 48 notes were examined. The results showed that the cybermedia lack specialized sections on environmental issues; there is a lack of dynamism in the use of genres, structures and narrative levels; and episodic and issue frames were more employed. The researchers concluded that positive environmental news is not exposed by the media as much as dramatic events.

If there is one thing we can be sure about the COVID-19 pandemic, it is that it caused an irruption of such magnitude throughout the world that the resonances of the multiple and varied changes it generated have yet to be seen. In relation to communication processes, the demand for information in real time increased and the media took center stage, especially in an initial period when the possibilities of intersubjective contrasts between people were diminished by the confinements. But this was not a constant: as the pandemic spread over time, it lost its novelty character and went from center stage to backdrop in media coverage. This research describes the thematic shifts and the predominant frames that La Nación, Clarín (in its digital versions) and Infobae deployed in their coverage of the pandemic between 2020 and 2022. Framed in the contributions of the agenda setting and framing ...

The Brexit referendum is a good example of the particular vulnerability of the European project when fighting disinformation. Therefore, EU institutions have developed a series of initiatives throughout 2018 to define a European strategy to counter disinformation that emphasizes the responsibility of social networks in reporting false content. In addition, given the weakness of the European public sphere, the European institutions support the creation of European networks of fact checkers. This strategy implies the denunciation of lies, rather than the promotion of alternative interpretive frames, which authors like Lakoff (2004) consider an error from a framing point of view. Empirically, we demonstrate through an analysis of the main networks of actors on this matter (academics, foundations, think tanks, media, social network platforms and fact checkers) that there is a dispute to defi...

Within the framework of research about professional teacher’s knowledge, our business is to identify and to characterize with case study method, a kind of specific professional teacher´s knowledge of Chemistry professorate, associated to the chemical nomenclature notion. This kind of research guides the sight to the teaching contents, but it postulates the teacher as an essential actor of that knowledge, rather than ignore of the other actors (didactic community, researchers, specialists, students, etc.) our research realizes the specific construction that the teacher makes, beyond the «spontaneous epistemologies» category, between others, which seems to deny an academic and discipline character of the built knowledge by the teachers. First, we show a brief reference to the research program on professional teacher´s knowledge which frames in the development of research line about S...

This article analyzes the impact of the instructional redesign of a course aimed at developing written communication skills, implemented in 2018 at a private university in Lima, Peru. The research is framed within the socio-discursive interactionism (SDI) model, which views writing as a situated practice shaped by specific communicative contexts. It also draws on the Writing Across the Curriculum (WAC) approach, which promotes writing as a transversal tool across all disciplines, emphasizing its cognitive (Writing to Learn), critical (Writing to Engage), and rhetorical (Writing in the Disciplines) dimensions. The study focused on the rhetorical component, adopting a quasi-experimental design with pre- and post-intervention assessments in two groups: experimental and control. The results show a moderate impact on the development of rhetorical competence, reflected in a greater alignment o...

This trailer introduces digital intimacy literacy as a missing concept in debates on how to empower young people’s sexualities in today’s digital society. It suggests that while extensive literature exists on different subareas of digital intimacy and the development of users’ sexuality, they can be combined to yield a more comprehensive understanding of digital intimacy in youth. Such integration can be further enriched by taking into account insights from communication literature, including the need for age-appropriate media interactions and the hidden costs of technological efficiency. Advancing our knowledge of digital intimacy is key for conceptualizing digital intimacy literacy, which is considered an important tool to empower contemporary young media users’ sexuality. Digital intimacy literacy is framed as a unique construct which goes beyond traditional media literacy, en...
