The evaluation of the occupational health and safety management systems was carried out to mitigate risks in construction projects in the Tacna region in a COVID-19 pandemic situation. For this purpose, the techniques for data collection used in the methodology; working on four construction projects in the Tacna region were the opinion of professionals in the construction sector, the analysis of documents and information on each project and the quantitative analysis of risk factors. Similarly, among the instruments used, there were forms, the projects’ technical sheets, statistical graphs, hazard identification and risk assessment matrices (IPER), the Jack Knife graph, and the basic guidelines check list of a system of occupational health and safety management. The results indicate that the occupational health and safety management system to mitigate risks was adequately implemented, o...

The objective of this study was to the Importance of Establishing Landscape Architecture in Construction Projects with an Urban Management Approach. The methods of this study are a descriptive-analytical research method that the data used in the research section of this project is obtained from the library method. The library information used in this project is derived from a variety of methods, including reference to books, journals, research projects, maps, and Internet searches. The results showed that the smell of the citizens had the greatest impact on the quality of the urban landscape, because the question is to what extent have the elements of nature, such as plants and flowers, created pleasant aromas. It has the highest rankings in the Friedman test, and the lowest rankings for the question of how many unpleasant odors can be smelled? This also confirms the importance of olfact...

Over time, construction projects have found it necessary to look for alternatives to improve collaboration between project stakeholders. To solve this problem, new technologies and Lean methodologies have been adopted. Therefore, this aims to implement a method to improve the management of collaboration between stakeholders during the execution stage of a construction project using the Kanban tool principles of Lean Manufacturing through Asana. Throughout the investigation, the implementation and viability of the method is evident in the plastering item of a public investment project of the National Superintendence of Customs and Tax Administration (SUNAT) of Peru. To achieve the objective, an intensive literature on collaborative management has been carried out. The viability of the method in the market market has been accepted in an expert judgment and indicators to measure collaborati...

This study evaluates the implementation of the digital platform Safety Culture (iAuditor) to optimize quality assurance and control (QA/QC) processes in multifamily construction projects, reducing time requirements and errors associated with traditional methods. Using a quasi-experimental approach, manual processes (pen-and-paper) were compared with real-time digital workflows, demonstrating that the tool eliminates redundant steps such as transcriptions and scanning, saving up to 60 minutes per inspection. Results showed significant improvements in efficiency, accuracy, and data accessibility, though challenges remain in externally coordinated activities. The proposed solution included staff training and customized digital form templates, highlighting its potential as a replicable model for the construction industry.

Nowadays, the construction industry has become the main and great engine of the global economic recovery after the effects of covid-19, generating around 10.7 trillion dollars worldwide, and it is residential construction, specifically, the one in charge of driving growth in the short term, thanks to the constant demand for residential spaces. In this sense, various challenges such as new technologies, the complexity of projects, and a growing competitive environment, force the main contractor to subcontract between 80 and 90% of the activities, thus evidencing that subcontracting is an applied and necessary process in every construction project, and making subcontractors the backbone of the procurement strategy. However, one of the main risks of subcontracting is the inadequate selection of the construction subcontractor, which is often based solely on the criteria of selecting the know...

The construction field is always strategic in the development of a country. In recent years, due to the economic recession and it has been losing good management practices. In this context, the need for implementing new management processes has become essential. This research explains the implementation of a Balanced Scorecard, project management, and Due Diligence (related to ISO 37001) to improve the administrative results of the construction Project “Repavimetación del Aeropuerto de Ayacucho”.

This article tries to analyze the main characteristics, strengths, opportunities and risks of the construction sector. This will review the internal and external factors that influence the decisions and results of companies included in this area. Regarding the general environment, a generic perspective of the data surrounding the industry will be reviewed, presenting the macroeconomic figures of the environment and the evolution of the sector. To obtain the results, a review of the main reports issued by specialized public and private institutions was carried out, as well as information from the main statistical series of the Central Reserve Bank of Peru. Among the main results, it was determined that construction has been positioned in recent years as a sector to boost the country’s economic growth and this will continue for at least the next three years due to the expansion of public...

This article presents the results of the first season of archaeological fieldwork conducted at the site of Pacopampa, Cajamarca, by the Pacopampa Archaeological Project, which is organizad by the San Marcos University and the Japanese Nacional Museum of Ethnology. The data recovered from excavations, cleaning, and topographic mapping, allow us to confirm the prior chronology (of two phases) and suggest a third latest phase (Final Formative). Most of visible constructions correspond to the second phase (Pacopampa II). In addition, two construction sub-phases have been defined within this phase, while no structure have been clearly defined to the first phase (Pacopampa I). The ceramic patterns indicate strong linkages with archaeological sites located in the southern region ofCajamarca like Huacaloma and Kuntur Wasi. Nonetheless, radiocarbon dates put into question the chronological consid...

This paper is part of a bigger research that aims to understand how professional education delivered through Project-Based Learning (PBL) affects self-authorship development on undergraduate students. This part of the project aims to evaluate self-authorship development of undergraduate students enrolled on PBL during four to five years. The method used was qualitative, transversal, with biographical-narrative approach. In deep interviews were the instrument for data construction. Nine students of different semesters voluntarily participate on the interviews. Data analysis were based on categories validated on previous research, using the software Atlas.ti as a tool. Results found that practical experience during professional education would exert different effects on students depending on their self-authorship position. In addition, found that PBL on its own is not sufficient to generat...

Peru is currently discussing the definition of socio-economic development and its inherent elements. In that order, citizen participation constitutes a fundamental component in the construction of integral development strategies and national security and defense, based on the knowledge of the processes of analysis of national problems and the definition of transformation requirements, mediated by the strengthening of the organizational capacities of the agents of the process. The main objective of this research is to determine the extent to which a National Participatory Project influences National Defense and Development. The research methodology was of a non-experimental, quantitative, descriptive and applicative design, with a sample of 116 officials from the Presidency of the Council of Ministers and the Ministry of Defense, responsible for the management of strategic projects in the...
