In this article I reflect on the form and function of everyday female objects in my work Mujeres Armadas (2009-2019). Starting from the creation of a singular garment, I extend this proposal to photography and sculpture using the idea of the object from its heterogeneous condition. In this way, I propose a plastic language in which the woman’s body is the support to the extent that it exposes content linked to gender identity and the various themes that arise from it and questions the contemporary image. Likewise, I collect some definitions about the everyday object, ranging from its reason for “being” to its relationship with the work of art, and I review different disciplines and historical moments to, as a Swiss army knife, display some components that explain the importance it has among us.

The aim of this study was to characterize the morphology of the creole goat of the Volcanes de Colima physiographic sub-province, Mexico. Seventeen body measurements were taken from 371 goats older than two years and four racial indices and 17 functional indices were calculated. Data were analysed using Pearson correlation, principal component, and hierarchical cluster analysis. The rump angle, chest width and all measurements of the ears and udder showed the greatest variability. Also, the goats showed great morpho-structural harmony. Racial indices showed that goats are dolichocephalic, ellipometric, and have a convex rump, while functional indices indicated dual-purpose zootechnical aptitude. The aim of this study was to estimate the allometric parameters of different parts of pirapitinga (Piaractus brachypomus), as well as to establish if the growth of these components is allometric or isometric. In total, 60 specimens collected at random from a farm in Arauca (Colombia) were used. Live weights, carcass weights and weights of scales, viscera and gills were determined. Three algorithms were tested to quantify the relationships between live body weight and each of the components: Ordinary Least Squares, Reduced Major Axis, and Major Axis. The data were logarithmically transformed in order to fit the equations to the allometric function y=10bxa, where y represents the body component in question and x is the independent associated variable. This article studies the expressions and the institutionalization of popular sovereignty in post-independent Bolivia (1825-1879) by analyzing two components of the democratic system: the subjects involved and the procedures for representation. As far as the former, the article underlines the fact that being a citizen was not limited to voting, but was also exercised by other activities connnected with work, taxation, public petitions and the use of arms. On the other hand, the study of the procedures for organizing and the carrying out of elections highlights two additional realities: first, voting had a regulatory function intended to level off competition and avoid conflicts, and secondly, the reduced number of the electoral body did not inhibit the development of political competition because political participation went beyond elections to include the use of violence and oth...

Este trabajo versa sobre una denuncia presentada por la Asociación de Consumidores Indignados Perú (ACIP) contra La Rosa Náutica S.A. por presuntamente atentar lo estipulado en el artículo 38° del Código de Protección y Defensa del Consumidor. En tanto, se habría detectado que la denunciada entregaba dos cartas distintas a los comensales, cartas con precios a los varones y sin precios a las mujeres. Mediante Resolución N° 0271-2019/CC2, la Comisión de Protección al Consumidor declaró infundada la denuncia, puesto que no se acreditó actos discriminatorios. For aerobic organisms it is essential atmospheric oxygen use. Though, it is also known that about 2-5% of that oxygen is reduced to form free radicals (ROS) such as superoxide, hydroxyl radical and hydrogen peroxide molecule in addition to organic peroxides produced by propagation reactions that can damage cellular biomolecules and starting at the best apoptosis and necrosis. As part of our evolution and adaptation to this gas toxicity we have developed a complex antioxidant defense system with endogenous components (superoxide dismutase-SOD, catalase, glutathione peroxidase, glutathione, uric acid, bilirubin, lipoic acid) and exogenous (Vitamins A, C and E, as well as polyphenols) that are included in our daily diet. El estudio tuvo como objetivo general investigar la relación entre calidad de vida relacionada con la salud (CVRS) y apoyo social percibido en 60 hombres con cáncer de próstata que se atienden en un hospital especializado en oncología de Lima, con edades entre los 50 y 80 años (M=67.67, DE=7.98). Se utilizó el cuestionario de salud SF-36 versión 1 (Ware & Sherboune, 1992) y el Estudio de desenlaces médicos de apoyo social percibido MOS creado por Sherboune & Stewart (1991). En CVRS, se halla que tanto el componente físico como el componente mental; y las dimensiones de ambos tienen puntajes por encima de 50. Method: The research was observational, descriptive, correlational, and with a transitional design. Determinar la calidad de vida en cirujanos dentistas durante la pandemia COVID-19, Trujillo-2020, según género y tiempo de egresado. Material y método: Se trabajó, en 2020, un estudio analítico transversal a odontólogos colegiados con actividad profesional. En este análisis, se hizo uso del cuestionario de salud SF-36v2 que evalúa ocho dimensiones de la salud, cuatro físicas y cuatro mentales, resumidas en dos componentes sumarios de salud: componente físico y componente mental. Resultados: Se encontró que la calidad de vida de los cirujanos dentistas fue positiva; observándose que la Vitalidad, Rol emocional y el dolor corporal presentaron la más alta calidad con 98.6%, respectivamente; mientras que, la función física obtuvo el menor porcentaje con 90%.Se evaluó según el genero se encontró en que las mujeres presentaron mejor estado de calidad de vida que los hombres, ...

Objetivo: Evaluar la calidad de vida de los pacientes tratados con la Estrategia Sanitaria Nacional de prevención y Control de Tuberculosis (ESNPYC-TB) en los establecimientos de salud pertenecientes a la microred de Chiclayo 2017. Material y Métodos: Es un estudio descriptivo, observacional de tipo transversal donde se empleó el cuestionario Short Form 36 (SF - 36), se entrevistó a 60 pacientes que acuden a cada establecimiento de salud en los meses de agosto – octubre del año 2017. Resultados: Mediante el cálculo de calidad de vida se obtuvo una media de 54,1. Además, se halló que los componentes de salud física y mental, lograron una media de 54,83 y 53,40, respectivamente.
