Executive functions (FE) are considered as a theoretical construct, referring to the capacity we have as human beings to plan, organize, inhibit, monitor our behavior and be flexible in the face of novel situations. However, this definition is not the only one, since many authors conceptualize it in different ways and this means that different models are presented that try to explain the nature of such functions; However, a consensus has not yet been reached. Therefore, the present work, brings to light those models that seek to explain executive functions in all their magnitude and complexity, finding from anatomical positions to statistical trends or to consider how they develop the FE in the stages of development, the same that were Raised in order to have a better understanding of them.

A long time ago, dental pulp-complex regeneration was our main objective in radicular reparation which could guarantee all appropiate growth of healthy and functional tissue. The present study is about a histological assay of a new dentinal-pulp complex formation using platelet rich plasm, pulpar tissue and fibrina, all autolougus, as components of dental pulp tissular engineering treatment. Qualitative and quantitative assays about the dentin pulp-complex regeneration grade on experimental and control groups were made and showed similar results. This technique opens a pathway for regenerate a complete tooth in the future.

Intelligence is a construct of notable impact in our sociocultural context, related to a wide range of conceptual and operational definitions which originate positions that highlights cognitive and abstract elements and emotional and social skills, as well was perspectives that are focused on processes underlying the intelligent performance, such as in the case of executive functions (EFs), which are configured as cognitive processes that make it possible the self-regulation (Miyake & Friedman, 2012). Similarly, there are approaches that give intelligence a relevant and predictive role of school performance, an aspect strengthened by the psychometric perspective, where the concept of intelligence has been closely linked to learning. In this line, we also find the classical perspective of crystallized Intelligence of Cattell (1943), which refers to the knowledge acquired through educa...

The present study raises a hypothesis based on the architectural evidence and figurative art reviewed by the author. We argue a chronological distinction between the two platforms mounds embedded in the archaeological site of Pampa de Llamas-Moxeke in the Casma Valley. Stylistic differentiation in both lines of evidence, plus some radiocarbon dates issues, suggest that the Huaca Moxeke, postulated as a center of religious function, is the main mound in the original design planned for this complex, representative of the defined Casma Pattern proposed by Carlos Williams (1980). While Huaca A, with associated sunken plazas (square and circular) intended as a repository of elite goods (Pozorski and Pozorski 1986), is possibly a late introduction into the Early Formative Period (1800-1000 B.C.). This building is intrusive to the original design of the site but based harmonically on it. The la...

The application of different unit root statistics is by now a standard practice in empirical work. Even when it is a practical issue, these statistics have complex nonstandard distributions depending on functionals of certain stochastic processes, and their derivations represent a barrier even for many theoretical econometricians. These derivations are based on rigorous and fundamental statistical tools which are not (very) well known by standard econometricians. This paper aims to fill this gap by explaining in a simple way one of these fundamental tools: namely, the Functional Central Limit Theorem. To this end, this paper analyzes the foundations and applicability of two versions of the Functional Central Limit Theorem within the framework of a unit root with a structural break. Initial attention is focused on the probabilistic structure of the time series to be considered. Thereafter...

Dictionaries are a list of words, simple or complex, that are treated as entries (lexical items). It is usual to assert several components: the lemma or headword, named after its most neutral form, followed by an indication of the main inflections of its category: genre and number if they are names, syntactic class if they are verbs. Sometimes, indications of it are made in other aspects: etymology, pronunciation, marks of placement, area of use, register, frequency of use, etc.Among all the group, it is pointed out an area that grows daily, painstakingly, in lexicographic works: the pragmatic component. Most of the words are referential (names, verbs, adverbs), but others correspond to language functions like the expressive and appellative ones; for example, interjections. Many words are objective, but some others depend on subjectivity, such as p...

For aerobic organisms it is essential atmospheric oxygen use. Though, it is also known that about 2-5% of that oxygen is reduced to form free radicals (ROS) such as superoxide, hydroxyl radical and hydrogen peroxide molecule in addition to organic peroxides produced by propagation reactions that can damage cellular biomolecules and starting at the best apoptosis and necrosis. As part of our evolution and  adaptation to this gas toxicity we have developed a complex antioxidant defense system with endogenous components (superoxide dismutase-SOD, catalase, glutathione peroxidase, glutathione, uric acid, bilirubin, lipoic acid) and exogenous (Vitamins A, C and E, as well as polyphenols) that are included in our daily diet. This paradox of oxygen throughout life leads to a state of oxidative stress and contributes to the process of senescence, however not uniform for all our body systems. In...

The molecular design based on the imitation of the complex structures and processes found in nature is known as bioinspired Chemistry or biomimetic Chemistry. An approach used in this discipline is the preparation of macrocyclic pseudopeptidic compounds from natural amino acids and abiotic components. Proteins exist in nature with very specific properties encoded by the diverse structural and conformational information of the amino acids side chains. The use of this information is a key factor in the design of pseudopeptides with well-defined properties. Therefore, a suitable structural design to obtain the desired functionality relies on the appropriate choice of structural components, natural and abiotic.

The literature shows multiple bibliometric studies on business models across various sectors; however, little attention has been paid to the systematic analysis of academic production in tourism entrepreneurship. The business model in these ventures is a complex process involving sustainable practices and exchanging knowledge and resources within the entrepreneurial ecosystem. Entrepreneurs in tourism often have limited management and organisational capabilities due to an insufficient understanding of the components of business models and their interrelationships in fostering innovation and sustainability. This paper aimed to analyse the lack of unified definitions regarding business models in tourism entrepreneurship and provide guidelines for developing new models and managing existing ones. Through an analysis of 71 articles published between 2000 and 2022, 14 key components were iden...

This article shows the results of research carried out on a public library locatedin Lima where we observed the reading practices of children who were frequentusers of the reading rooms during the months of August to December of 2016. The results indicate that the children develop their own reading practices because of the frequent use of the room, the participation of the literacy mediator, and their role as dynamic agents in the use of the library. The reading practices have components: a playful aspect, an educational aspect and a functional aspect. As the child becomes a reader, reading  practices become increasingly complex and acquire other characteristics. Reading practices allow children who are frequent users of the library to, in time, acquire the role of literacy mediators.
