This article presents a procedure for the fragility assessment of structures in response to earthquake and tsunami loads using the accumulation of inelastic displacement as a measure of damage. The proposed methodology considers a non-linear static analysis (pushover) for the case of the earthquake and a non-linear static load for the case of the tsunami, taking as starting point the final state of the structure after the occurrence of an earthquake. However, since the impulse force is the critical component of the tsunami load, a simplified approximation in terms of the flood depth is used to estimate the total of the tsunami load. By combining the effect of earthquake and tsunami hazard, a function is obtained relating the spectral acceleration of the earthquake, the flood depth of the tsunami and the drift. The article aims to describe some optimization problems and their application in managerial and financial decision-making at organizations. This description is made from two approaches, first from the perspective of data analysis, where we see that these types of problems are in the stage of prescriptive analysis and, secondly, from a more formal or mathematical perspective where we see that they are part of the branch of analytical models. This type of analytical model can be proposed through three basic components: a target variable, decision or control variables and constraints. In this context, various application cases are reviewed and, finally, we will explain with a simple example, the use of the Solver function of Excel for the resolution of this type of problems through the simplex method.

Determinar la calidad de vida en cirujanos dentistas durante la pandemia COVID-19, Trujillo-2020, según género y tiempo de egresado. Material y método: Se trabajó, en 2020, un estudio analítico transversal a odontólogos colegiados con actividad profesional. En este análisis, se hizo uso del cuestionario de salud SF-36v2 que evalúa ocho dimensiones de la salud, cuatro físicas y cuatro mentales, resumidas en dos componentes sumarios de salud: componente físico y componente mental. Resultados: Se encontró que la calidad de vida de los cirujanos dentistas fue positiva; observándose que la Vitalidad, Rol emocional y el dolor corporal presentaron la más alta calidad con 98.6%, respectivamente; mientras que, la función física obtuvo el menor porcentaje con 90%.Se evaluó según el genero se encontró en que las mujeres presentaron mejor estado de calidad de vida que los hombres, ...

The tsunami flux velocity is usually mistaken for the propagation velocity. The former corresponds to water particles and the latter to surface waves. The misunderstanding may be due to the approach, the Eulerian frame highlights the tsunami wave behaviour. On the other hand, the lagrangian frame makes easier to identify the flux velocity by highlighting the tsunami particle behaviour. This study considers the analytical solution, derived from the lagrangian frame, of the water level as a function of time, for identified water particles during the tsunami inundation process, to calculate the flux velocity. The solution function takes into account that water particles are displaced by one large wave propagation and it is simplified to one dimension. The relationship between individual characteristics and the work environment may have different effects over the teaching performance. The current investigation seeks to analyze the fit of a model to predict teaching performance based on the teacher burnout, while including individual characteristics and the work environment perception in university teachers. Objetivo. Describir la calidad de vida en pacientes con arritmias ventriculares idiopáticas, tratados en el Instituto Nacional Cardiovascular INCOR de Lima-Perú. Materiales y métodos. Estudio analítico y transversal de pacientes con arritmias ventriculares idiopáticas, tratados mediante ablación 3D o terapia antiarrítmica entre julio 2017 y diciembre de 2019 a quienes se aplicó el cuestionario de salud SF-36 para evaluar la calidad de vida relacionada con la salud. Con la finalidad de determinar si existe asociación entre el tipo de control de la presión arterial en la hemorragia intracerebral espontánea aguda y el grado de dependencia funcional en pacientes adultos atendidos en el Hospital Belén de Trujillo; se realizó un estudio observacional, analítico, correlacional y longitudinal, en 53 pacientes adultos con hemorragia intracerebral espontánea aguda confirmada por estudio de neuroimagen y que fueron atendidos entre el 1° de julio de 2002 y el 30 de junio de 2012. El metilmercurio MeHg+ es una especie organometálica producida en los ambientes acuáticos y que es más tóxica que las especies inorgánicas de mercurio Hg2+ y Hgº, pues es soluble en los tejidos grasos de los animales y se bioacumula. En el presente trabajo se realizó estudios para la obtención de polímeros impresos iónicos IIPs selectivos a metilmercurio MeHg+. Previamente, se hizo un estudio computacional para calcular la energía de enlace que se produce en la etapa de prepolimerización empleando el método Teoría Funcional de la Densidad (DFT).
