Small and medium-sized enterprises have always proven to be crucial to national economies, yet many of them fail for a variety of reasons. One of them is selecting an inadequate supplier that does not meet the needs that the company requires to properly perform its core business. Therefore, this project proposes to develop a web application to select the best supplier option for a company. The main objective is to assist in decision making and reduce costs with a web application that implements the Fuzzy Analytic Hierarchy Process (FAHP), based on a series of criteria and priorities chosen by the company itself. This research aimed to optimize the microwave popping process of 5 cultivars of ñuña beans under different moisture content. This work was divided into two stages: determining the optimal time and microwave power for maximum popping and studying the effect of initial grain moisture content on popping percentage. For this, grains were conditioned to 9%, 11%, 13% and 15% of moisture content. The results suggested that only the cultivars “Vaquita poroto”, “Negra” and “Jabona” cultivars reach the highest popping percentages selecting optimum microwave power and process time. In addition, this work found that for every studied cultivar, moisture content between 9 to 11% w.b (wet basis). is suitable to maximize popping percentage. From the first attempts to manipulate preimplantational embryos recovered from animal oviducts in 1912; the direct transfers or with short incubation periods for receptor mothers; the complex biochemical process of preparation and supplementation of culture media from saline solutions chemically defined; the transition of this technology to humans basically in vitro oocyte maturation and selection of motile sperm; to proceedings ending with the first clinical application described in 1980.

Embryo selection by using morphological characteristics has been the main tool to select the best embryo to transfer in assisted reproduction technology (ART). However, embryo development is a dynamic process that cannot be monitored with conventional microscopes. The introduction of incubators with an integrated micro-camera system, denominated time-lapse incubators, has allowed to register morphological and kinetic events in human embryos, becoming useful markers for embryo selection. In this report, we present the first pregnancy in Peru using morphokinetic parameters in a time lapse incubator.

A pesar de que la experiencia de recibir asistencia de caridad en el Reino Unido y en todo el mundo tiende a ser muy desagradable y, en ocasiones, dañina para los usuarios, este estudio descubre que la experiencia en CHAI es muy agradable y tiene un impacto positivo para la mayoría de los destinatarios. Según los resultados, solo el 10% de los participantes se sintieron injustamente juzgados por CHAI durante el proceso de asistencia. Autism Spectrum Disorder (ASD) is considered a neurodevelopmental disorder, whose prevalence has increased in recent years, showing in some cases deficits in the cognitive area, with processing speed (PS) being one of the affected variables. Therefore, the present study aims to: 1) compare the scores obtained in relation to the PS variable between students aged 6 to 11 with ASD and their peers with neurotypical development in Metropolitan Lima; and 2) establish the PS profile of the included students with ASD. Cervical cancer is one of the main causes of death by disease worldwide. In Peru, it holds the first place in frequency and represents 8% of deaths caused by sickness. To detect the disease in the early stages, one of the most used screening tests is the cervix Papanicolaou test. Currently, digital images are increasingly being used to improve Pap test efficiency. This work develops an algorithm based on adaptive thresholds, which will be used in Pap smear assisted quality control software. The first stage of the method is a pre-processing step, in which noise and background removal is done. In this study, licorice root extracts were produced by ultrasound-assisted extraction and were combined with chitosan to elaborate edible coatings. Different solvents and temperatures were used in the extraction process, and the antioxidant and antimicrobial activity of the extracts were assessed. The most bioactive extracts were selected for the development of the edible coatings.
