La residencia estudiantil es un equipamiento fundamental e importante en todo máster plan de cualquier campus universitario. Por ejemplo, en el aspecto físico, su emplazamiento forma parte de la red vial y peatonal que existe actualmente en la UNI. Existen otros aspectos no menos importantes como el económico y el social. En el primer aspecto, busca cubrir las necesidades económicas de alojamiento de los estudiantes. Y en el segundo aspecto, busca fomentar la convivencia entre distintos grupos estudiantiles de diversas facultades. Así como, incentivar la interculturalidad entre estos diversos grupos humanos, intercambiar costumbres y experiencias académicas.

The selection of the best students in the admission process is a complex and delicate task. In this paper, a new weighting is proposed to obtain the general admission score, using the multivariate technique of "Factor Analysis". The results found reveal three important components: Scientific Support, with 56%, General Culture, with 29% and Skills and Skills with 15%. This weighting preserves a high concordance with the traditional form, since there is a modification in the orders of merit of only 12% of the cases.

The allocation appropriate weights problem to academic performance in high school for the National Engineering University’s postulant is considered. The constant mean linear model with two restriction and ten admission exam data between 1995 to 1999 are used to perform the objective. The statistics analysis suggests that adequate choices are 0.94 to admission exam and 0.06 to high school averages.

In this paper the most important explicative variables in the behaviour of admission exam grades to National Engineering University is investigated. The tecniques STEPWISE REGRESSION and RIDGE REGRESSION are considerated ans in the analysis is used the results of 1994 admission exam. These data were obtained through sistematic stratificated sampling with proporcional asignation to size population. The results reveals that the most important variable is the general average in high school (XC); others important variables are Admission canal (X1), Pre-University Preparation type (X4), and Pre-University Preparation Time (x7).

This work present the exoplanet transit program developed at OAUNI on the 2016 and 2017 campaigns. Seventeen exoplanet transits were observed and in six of them more than one event was registered. In a couple of cases the same transit were gathered four times. Preliminary reductions are shown in three transits (WASP-80 b, WASP-52 b, and WASP-77 A b). The associated light curves show well-defined events and their modeling let to infer physical parameters of each system. These measurements are the first ones of their kind collected by a peruvian astronomical facility.

La ciudad de Lima está ubicada en una zona altamente sísmica categorizada según la (NTE E.030-Diseño Sismorresitente, 2018) como Z4 por ubicarse entre las placas Nazca y Sudamericana. En adición, esta región atraviesa un silencio sísmico desde 1746 que conllevaría a grandes pérdidas humanas y materiales ante un evento sísmico de gran magnitud en orden de 8.6- 8.8 Mw. basado en el estudio de modelos para futuros mega terremotos en la ciudad de Lima (Pulido, Aguilar, & Tavera, 2015). The education is a relevant factor in the social and economic development of a country. In 2000, the World Bank stressed that in the history, poverty or wealth of nations depends on the higher education’s quality.In this sense, the main objective of this project is to contribute on the understanding of the dynamics of the academic performance from the students of the National Uni-versity of Engineering. This contribution is valuable for the scientific community and, above all, for the creators of educational policies, since with a greater understanding of student’s issue, the educational policies can be focused and channeled more effectively.

The National University of Engineering, through its Faculty of Economic Engineering, Statistics and Social Sciences, has assumed a special challenge in contributing proposals in the area of economic policies, the development of statistical models and the evaluation of Peru's social problems since the 1960s. The challenge of research in a public university is great, considering the scarcity of both physical and human resources. Nevertheless, the efforts made have been producing increasingly positive results, as evidenced by the scientific publications that have been appearing in recent years, including those of the Institute of Economic and Social Research of our Faculty.

This article starts with an account of the archaeological remains in the area of the campus of the National University of Engineering (UNI), in Lima-Perú, and its surroundings. Most of the remains are temporarily placed in the Late Intermediate Period (1100-1440 A.D.) and Inca Period (1440-1532 A.D.). The first site to be analyzed, also the most important, is the famous huaca Aliaga (today destroyed); its true location is specified, which was outside the current campus. Then the article investigates the huaca El Carmen, in the Human Settlement Villa El Carmen, neighbor to the University. En este trabajo se investiga las variables explicativas más relevantes que describen, al comportamiento del puntaje en el examen de admisión a la Universidad Nacional de Ingeniería. Para ello se usaron dos técnicas estadísticas; la "Regresión Stepwise", y la "Regresión Ridge". En el análisis se utilizó los datos correspondientes al examen de admisión para el año de 1994. La recolección de los datos se obtuvo mediante un muestreo estratificado sistemático con asignación proporcional al tamaño poblacional. Dicho análisis revela que la variable más importante recae en el "PROMEDIO GENERAL" (XG), obtenido durante la educación secundaria; entre otras de las variables más relevantes se encuentran: EL "Canal de Ingreso" (X4). el "Tipo de preparación Pre-Universitaria" (X1), y el "Tiempo de preparación Pre-Universitaria" (X7).

We propose a look at incas textiles and planimetric support of its territory an Inducing reflection on the possible applications of textiles in architecture incas, and bring out the eyes of designers, architects and engineers with the hypothesis of the value and application of incas textiles in representing three-dimensional surveying of the material world as conceived. Test ideas about the uses of the art of weaving and its influence on Inca architecture. Use this ancient knowledge an instrument of inspiration for future architects.

This case study presents the behavior of the resources directly collected for technological services, defined as the sum of the RdR for research and development services (1.3.39.23) and third-party services (1.3.39.29), at the National University of Engineering during the period 2009 to 2023. Under a technological extensionism approach, the revenues collected and their management by the UNI can be considered as indicators of how the university is fulfilling its role as a provider of knowledge in the economy. The data obtained show a downward trend, especially in third-party services, while R&D services remain stable on average over the years but have not yet recovered pre-COVID-19 revenue levels. In this work, the impact of academic risk on academic performance is determined by constructing a scale to calculate the multidimensional index of academic risk, using the statistical technique of factor analysis, which explains 83.274% of the total variation and is made up of six dimensions and 42 items. The most important dimension is the student's personal attitudes (X1), followed by family support (X2) and the teaching domain (X3). The impact of academic risk on performance is inverse and significant, reaching a linear correlation of r = - 0.214, which translates into a decrease of 0.191 points in academic performance for each point in academic risk. It was also determined that the dimension of the teaching domain (X3) has a highly significant and inverse impact on the student's academic performance, quantified as a decrease of 0.255 for each point in the teaching domain.
