En el último número de su revista se ha publicado la guía de práctica clínica “El abordaje temprano y tratamiento mixto en el manejo de la esquizofrenia” (1). Este documento busca dar respuesta a cuatro preguntas clínicas referentes al manejo de este trastorno. Las respuestas a estas interrogantes se realizan en base a una adaptación de la guía “Psychosis and schizophrenia in adults: treatment and management” desarrollado por National Institute for Health and Care Excellence (NICE) (2). Una de las interrogantes de la guía peruana fue “¿cuál es el beneficio de la intervención temprana en el primer episodio psicótico?”. Es sobre el manejo del primer episodio psicótico que quisiera hacer algunas precisiones.

Public Budgeting Program 068 (PP068 by its Spanish initials) is part of the National System for Disaster Risk Management financial strategy and is linked to disaster risk management processes—among them, the processes of Reactive Management (GR by its Spanish initials). It enables articulated interventions between entities from the three government levels to reduce the vulnerability of the population and their means of living. The study determined the relationship between PP068 and GR based on the budget allocation for the products and actions aimed at the preparation, response and rehabilitation processes. Introduction. Type 2 diabetes is a public health problem whose management is very complex, recognizingmultiple problems and limitations for an adequate control of the disease. Objective. To determine the effect of educational program added to the usual treatment, in the control of patients with type 2 diabetes in a peruvian national hospital. Methods. A longitudinal analytical study of three months of follow-up was conducted. Fifty consecutive patients with uncontrolled type 2 diabetes who were treated in the outpatient clinical of the endocrinology service agreed to voluntarily participate in the four sessions in groups of 5-8 participants (1session/week). In rural areas of the Loreto region within the Peruvian Amazon, maternal mortality rate is above the national average and the majority of women deliver at home without care from a trained health care provider. To develop community-tailored videos that could be used for future interventions, we conducted Photovoice and digital storytelling workshops with community health workers (CHW) and mothers from 13 rural communities in the Parinari district.

El presente estudio tuvo como objetivo determinar el nivel de compromiso organizacional que presentan los integrantes de la Oficina de Criminalística de la Dirección de Investigación Criminal de la Policía Nacional del Perú. La muestra estuvo conformada por 128 efectivos policiales de armas y de servicios de ambos sexos. El enfoque utilizado fue el cuantitativo de alcance descriptivo, con diseño no experimental de corte transversal y se utilizó el cuestionario de compromiso organizacional de Meyer, Allen y Smith. This article is focused on the analysis of the children and adolescents protection policies in Uruguay. Specifically, on three programs that are aimed at having a focused intervention mode by territorialization, inter-institutionalism and proximity. It will analyze the tensions and challenges of these programs, taking into account whether they generate real transformations in life trajectories or whether they are processes of individualization of poverty. Uruguay’s State has ratified the Convention on the rights of the children and at a nation level is framed under the code of childhood and adolescence, because of this reason the category should be a priority of the political agenda. Considering this, do these children and adolescents protection policies protect them,or is this just a type of tutoring?

In this context, the program Heritage for Development of the Spanish Cooperation began its work in the Historic Center of Lima. In a situation in which the priority is not the intervention in cultural assets, a project emerged that seeks to meet society’s different needs through the revaluation of the patrimony. Objective: To determine the success rates of in vitro fertilization (IVF) in an assisted reproductive technology program at 3 330 meters above sea level. Design: Descriptive, retrospective study. Setting: Centro de Fertilidad y Ginecologia del Sur, Cusco, Peru, city at 3 330 meters (10 989 feet) above sea level. Participants: Couples with infertility diagnosis and indication of IVF. Interventions: We performed IVF and embryo transfer in 27 couples. Main outcome measures: Implantation, biochemical pregnancy, and clinical pregnancy rates. Results: Implantation rate was 14,3%, biochemical pregnancy rate 37,0% and clinical pregnancy rate 22,2%. Conclusions: IVF cycles at 3 330 meters above sea level seem to achieve implantation and clinical pregnancy rates similar to national and international reports.

La investigación parte del objetivo determinar la eficacia de la aplicación de un programa de intervención laboral en el control de riesgo disergonómico en el personal administrativo de la Universidad Nacional de Cañete. La investigación se encuadra dentro del tipo de investigación aplicada, nivel explicativo, diseño pre experimental. La muestra estuvo conformada por 60 trabajadores administrativos de la Universidad Nacional de Cañete.
