The primary objective of the research was to determine the extent to which the International Baccalaureate Diploma Program changes the study habits in the academic performance of students in the last years of secondary school. Study habits such as study techniques, organizational skills, exam-preparation techniques, and techniques used in class, as well as students’ level of distractibility, were analyzed and compared. The study used a longitudinal design with three time points and a control group. The study started with a sample of 73 students; however, due to experimental mortality, the work was performed with 50 students, of which 29 made up the control group and 21 the experimental group. More than 45 years of IEP/TP research and a few focused on IEP/TP functions or roles. Yet, the quality of an IEP/TP relies on the functions that it fulfills to satisfy the needs of its different users (Petitdemange,1985). The Quebec Ministry of Education (MEQ, 2004) and the Office of Special Education and Rehabilitative Services within the U.S. Department of Education (in Eichler, 1999) explicitly identified and described six to seven IEP/TP functions. Nowadays it is necessary to strengthen health information systems and data-based solutions. However, there are few graduate training programs in Peru to use tools and methods of data science applied in public health. This article describes the development process and the initial assessment regarding the experience of the participants in an international multidisciplinary diploma in data intelligence for pandemics and epidemics preparedness, which was carried out from January to May 2021. Purpose: To calculate the contribution of absorbed dose by organs in the biokinetics of Tc-99m when used for radiodiagnosis of the adult male heart employing a Matlab program. Methods: The absorbed self-dose of the adult male heart and absorbed dose by organs in the biokinetics of the heart when administering Tc-99m are estimated using the MIRD formalism and the Cristy-Eckerman representation, which have been employed to develop the algorithm in Matlab. Results: The results indicate that electron capture emissions of 1.446 (mGy/MBq) and Auger electrons of 0.062 (mGy/MBq) are entirely directed towards the target organ (heart) and contribute 29.33% and 1.25% respectively to its total dose. Additionally, the dosimetric contributions of biokinetic organs correspond to characteristic radiation emissions and gamma photons at 2.578 (mGy/MBq) for Tc-99m, representing 52.29% of its total dose. This paper raises a reflection on the legal notion of compliance and the way in which it involves companies in the fight against corruption. That is a new global regulatory trend that provides useful tools to address different legal fields, hence some authors consider it a new branch of law. Twelve years after the resurgence of the left in Latin America, we are now witnessing its dawn and the emergence of the right. In the present article, the author asks if this situation responds to a situational crisis of the progressive governments of Latin America or, if in reality, we are witnessing the failure of these alternative projects that only produced cosmetic changes. The author analyzes the failed attempt to create new rules in the international system, national politics and the regional construction by the progressive governments, because of the use of outdated means —based on schemes and concepts of the Cold War— in a different global context. The article begins with a general exposition of the progressive proposals to later analyze the cases of Brazil and Venezuela, ending with conclusions of the main hypothesis.

In 1984, in the context of Peru’s internal armed conflict between the Shining Path and the State (1980-2000), Lima’s socialist mayor Alfonso Barrantes Lingán decreed the creation of Huaycán, the first housing project targeting Lima’s poorest residents. Huaycán originated from a shared socialist vision by urbanists and shantytown settlers to address the politics of abandonment by establishing a co-management program between municipal representatives and the population. This article traces the creation of Huaycán, from 1983 to 1985, as a project that emanated from the demands of a new generation of urban residents. The article reveals the tensions derived from within the leftist front, and between the urbanists and shantytown settlers that created the project.
