The unsettled discussion continues about the factors behind the increase in the relative wages of skilled workers in developing countries. Using data from Peru for the years 1994 to 2000, we analyze the determinants of within-industry share of skilled workers. We use a translog cost function for gross output and are therefore able to incorporate the effects of materials, both domestic and imported, in addition to capital. We find that capital accumulation can explain a large fraction of the increase in the wage bill share and relative wages of skilled labor. This finding is contrary to the commonly held view that unobservable technological change is responsible for the rising skill premium in both developing and developed economies. Lima ofrece hoy la imagen de varias «ciudades» a su interior. Entre ellas tiene lugar una fragmentación sociocultural, expresada en distintas formas de sociabilidad y nuevos sentidos de pertenencia. Estas «ciudades» se comunican entre sí y se conectan con el mundo globalizado a través de los medios de comunicación masiva, y por medios virtuales. La metrópoli constituye así un «espacio comunicacional». Tomamos en cuenta los referentes materiales, simbólicos y comunicacionales que han transformado las formas de sociabilidad y la construcción de identidades en el escenario urbano de Lima.

Rural communities’ capacity to absorb policy intervention towards sustained development could be improved if individuals thought innovatively as a result of increased empowerment and strengthened community organization involving individual and collective effort. The aim of the proposed study is to analyze the relationship between community members’ empowerment and their innovative thinking, influenced by the social capital of their community organization and using health promotion as the intervening factor. Health, an essential element for development, implies individual’s action through healthy lifestyles and behaviors as well as collective action. The study will take place in rural communities in the Amazon jungle of Peru and will test differences between communities with different intensities of health promotion activities.

More than once professional and academic people from the business world have noted than the Business valuation is in most of the cases, an art to manage numbers with the intention of some established objectives. No doubt, there is something certain in this phrase, but to do this we need a deep knowledge of the related difficulties and problems to assign the real value to an on going company. The objective of this article is to examine different aspects of business valuation through the use of future outputs. We will explain some of the reasons why we chose this method and we will mention the way we quantify the related variables.

Se describen y construyen perfiles de docentes universitarios de una universidad pública argentina respecto al uso de TIC en sus prácticas pedagógicas a partir de la aplicación de un cuestionario online sobre características personales y académicas, experiencias, formación y formas mediadas de comunicación con los estudiantes. Se hicieron análisis descriptivo, multivariado y de contenido. Los resultados muestran tres perfiles con posicionamientos diferenciales en aspectos tecnopedagógicos determinados por las preferencias y experiencias respecto al uso de Facebook, WhatsApp y Plataforma virtual. En las narraciones se observan posturas críticas diferenciales de acuerdo al perfil. La interpretación y discusión de los datos fueron contextualizados en un escenario poco favorecedor hacia el uso de TIC.

El presente artículo incluye algunas consideraciones jurídicas y prácticas relacionadas con el aporte de cripto activos a sociedades comerciales en Colombia, Chile y Perú. Los cripto activos han hecho su aparición en el comercio mundial y esto requiere revisar su regulación legal. Aunque en Colombia, Chile y Perú aún no existe una regulación de cripto activos, distintas autoridades gubernamentales en estos tres países han puesto sus ojos en los cripto activos, y han emitido pronunciamientos sobre la naturaleza de estos, su volatilidad y los riesgos que implican para quienes invierten en ellos. Sin embargo, no existe regulación que prohíba las transacciones con cripto activos o su uso en el tráfico comercial de nuestros países, incluyendo su aporte al capital social de sociedades comerciales.
