Writing about Toribio Pacheco is certainly describing one of the roots of Peruvian law and, in turn, a wonderful way to recall historical aspects of the life of Peru; perceiving the Dantesque legacy of those who barely encrypted their 40s, undertook their journey to the celestial field. To point out that he was an illustrious jurist, prominent diplomat, politician and distinguished journalist is insufficient; therefore, the love for his homeland and the impetuous struggle for the progress of our country, as well as the insatiable and continuous aspiration for knowledge became the constitution of a being with a superior culture, which was hardly appreciated in his time and even in the present times and that in these lines, we look with admiration to recognize it.

Discourse has a communicative purpose. In the journalistic genre of tabloids, the news tries to impact the reader with striking headlines on any topic of interest; this can be seen in the headlines of one of the top-selling newspapers in Peru: Trome, a tabloid that stands out for its striking headlines, due to the use of phraseology with a metaphorical sense. This research describes conceptual metaphors in the headlines of Trome and focuses on the description of a prototypical form: chaos and one of its effects: punishment. The data collected correspond to the years 2010, 2013, 2016, 2017, 2018 and 2019, and were taken from its digital version.

The presentation of the cyber language as one of the variations of the language includes a discussion on its nature as an intermediate form between oral language and written language and the forces responsible for the linguistic changes. On the one hand, we have the popular usage that has given rise to the constant evolution of the language and, on the other hand, the educated speech which strives to recover its etymological form (Betancourt, 2010). The objective of this research is to analyze the sustainability information published on corporate websites and study the factors that determine the level of disclosure of this information in Peruvian listed companies for the year 2018. For this purpose, the study conducted a content analysis of web pages of 151 listed companies to establish a compliance index of sustainability information and examined whether the variables size, profitability, transnational nature and type of business activity were significant in this index. The results found that in the web pages, not all the disclosure criteria established are met. The size and type of business were determining factors. The journalistic images are subject to debate and controversy: from the girl of Trang Bang to the most recently images of women and female kids during the earthquake and the cholera epidemic in Haiti in 2010, comments on the symbolic and communicative value of the pictured subject keep occurring. The press images awarded as “photo of the year” by World Press Photo in the period between 2000 and 2011 represent international conflicts and disasters where the main characters are mostly women and children, plenty of drama and pathos. The axes of the discussion are the main photography situation on thedaily journal front page, against the right to privacy, the iconic representation of the sick people and victims of disasters and the social discussion through the network.

The last decade has given the Spanish-speaking public the opportunity to become acquainted with the work of the German critic Siegfried Kracauer (1889-1966). Little by little, his texts have gained in strength and the body of his work, still scattered in Spanish, is gaining ground in contemporary scientific and philosophical production. The light that is now being shed on Kracauer's thought is beginning to displace him from the place assigned to him until a few years ago, where he was known mainly as a pioneer in film theory, although somewhat naively overcome.

This article analyzes the soccer sports front pages issued by the newspaper Depor during the Liga 1-2022 tournament, Apertura stage. Based on Peirce's (1986) semiotic approaches on the sign, a set of signs organized in a larger unit called news sign unit is identified, which is explained according to Barthes' (2000) foundations, related to the denotative and connotative sense that every sign enjoys. The research concludes that this news sign unit has a deliberate composition, a defined communicative objective and is a semiological system or myth, in the sense that it expresses the collective representation of the reality of a certain social group or community: the soccer sports community.
