La literatura al respecto suele considerar a la educación, salud e infraestructura por el lado fiscal, y a la tasa de ahorro e inversión y la incertidumbre por el lado monetario, como factores clave en la determinación de la productividad de un país. Debido a que la Constitución de 1993 trajo consigo cambios que tuvieron un impacto trascendental en el modo de llevar a cabo la política fiscal y monetaria, se tomará a esta como punto de referencia para el análisis. En ese sentido, la evidencia empírica revela que los cambios implicaron una alteración de la productividad, en particular, una revisión al alza luego de años con reformas radicales y shocks adversos.

This work aims to explain and identify the effect of fiscal and monetary management on productivity in Peru. The literature on the matter usually considers education, health and infrastructure on the fiscal side, and the savings and investment rate and uncertainty on the monetary side, as key factors in determining a country's productivity. Due to the fact that the 1993 constitution brought with it changes that had a transcendental impact on the way of carrying out fiscal and monetary policy, this will be taken as a reference point for the analysis.
