From the theoretical point of view, authors such as Uzawa (1965), Romer (1986) and Lucas (1988) tell us that there is a positive relationship between human capital and economic growth. However, through the methodology of Engle and Granger (1987) the present study shows that this relationship is not fulfilled for the Peruvian case.
