Aunque su principal usuario es la población con discapacidad temporal o permanente, sus beneficios pueden alcanzar al público en general a través de tratamientos o terapias que aportan a la salud física, mental y emocional de las personas. La propuesta de un Centro de Rehabilitación de atención ambulatoria inserto en un Hospital de Alta Complejidad como el Hospital María Auxiliadora ubicado en el distrito de San Juan de Miraflores, busca satisfacer una necesidad cuantitativa y cualitativa de nuevos espacios de rehabilitación cuya arquitectura aporte al proceso de sanación de sus usuarios a través de criterios del “Healing Enviroment” como la interrelación visual, confort, privacidad, aislamiento acústico, iluminación natural, acceso a la naturaleza, mobiliario especial, ventilación natural, materiales específicos, orientación espacial y el diseño espacial. En cuanto a la oferta programática se plantea adicionar otras unidades productoras de servicio salud como diagnóstico por imágenes, patología clínica, consulta externa y farmacia, entre otras, con el fin de lograr la autonomía funcional del centro especializado y aumentar la oferta actual del Hospital, es decir la propuesta busca satisfacer una demanda creciente, mejorar la calidad de la infraestructura ofertada, brindando mayor accesibilidad y mejor conectividad con los establecimientos de salud de Lima Sur.

Although its main user is the population with temporary or permanent disabilities, its benefits can reach the general public through treatments or therapies that contribute to people's physical, mental and emotional health. The proposal for an ambulatory care Rehabilitation Center inserted in a High Complexity Hospital such as the María Auxiliadora Hospital located in San Juan de Miraflores District, seeks to satisfy a quantitative and qualitative need for new rehabilitation spaces, whose architecture contributes to the rehabilitation through criteria of an "Healing Environment" such as visual interrelation, comfort, acoustic insulation, natural lighting, access to nature, special furniture, natural ventilation, specific materials, spatial orientation and spatial design. About the programmatic offer, it is proposed to add other health service production units such as diagnostic imaging, clinical pathology, outpatient consultation and pharmacy, among others, in order to achieve the functional autonomy of the specialized center and increase the current offer of the Hospital.
