Este proyecto se enfoca en el diseño de un Centro de Rehabilitación e Integración para Personas Invidentes en Trujillo. Su objetivo es proporcionar atención integral en áreas médicas, educativas y sociales para fomentar la inclusión y el bienestar de las personas con discapacidad visual. El centro busca integrar a las personas invidentes en la sociedad, reduciendo las brechas entre este grupo y la comunidad. Para lograrlo, se crea un diseño que incluye espacios de sociabilización y se utilizan materiales que estimulan la orientación táctil, sonora y olfativa. Este proyecto piloto sienta las bases para futuros centros de rehabilitación en la región y posiblemente a nivel nacional, trabajando hacia una sociedad más inclusiva y accesible. La investigación se enfoca en 150 personas inscritas en la Asociación Luis Braille, que representan una pequeña fracción de las 21,367 personas ciegas estimadas en la localidad de Trujillo. Se espera que los resultados de este estudio puedan aplicarse de manera más amplia para beneficiar a toda la comunidad invidente de Trujillo. La relevancia de este proyecto radica en la atención de espacios diseñados para satisfacer las necesidades de las personas con discapacidad visual en Trujillo y a nivel nacional. Su propósito es sensibilizar a la sociedad sobre las necesidades de este grupo y promover un cambio positivo. Este esfuerzo se basa en la colaboración y apoyo de la comunidad para lograr una plena integración de las personas con discapacidad visual en la sociedad. |

Its aim is to provide comprehensive care in medical, educational, and social areas to promote the inclusion and well-being of people with visual disabilities. The center seeks to integrate blind individuals into society, bridging the gap between this group and the community. To achieve this, a design is created that includes socialization spaces and uses materials that stimulate tactile, auditory, and olfactory orientation. This pilot project lays the groundwork for future rehabilitation centers in the region and possibly nationally, working towards a more inclusive and accessible society. The research focuses on 150 people enrolled in the Luis Braille Association, representing a small fraction of the estimated 21,367 blind people in Trujillo.
