Raúl Mata la Cruz hasta el Cementerio Jardines Celestiales perteneciendo al distrito 26 de octubre, provincia de Piura, departamento de Piura; se utilizó el tipo de investigación aplicada y nivel de investigación descriptiva, precisando como objetivo principal hacer una comparación entre las metodologías PCI y VIZIR para determinar la condición del pavimento. Se recopilaron datos teniendo en consideración las proyecciones y volúmenes de tránsito de la zona, la muestra escogida fue el pavimento prolongación Av. Grau cruce Raúl Mata - Jardines Celestiales - 26 de octubre, Piura; que tiene una longitud de 2.88 km. En los resultados se ha logrado identificar el tipo de fallas y el nivel de severidad de dicho pavimento. De igual manera, se diseñó la estructura del pavimento rígido en la prolongación Av. Grau cruce Raúl Mata - Jardines Celestiales - 26 de octubre. Finalmente se concluyó que con el método PCI se obtuvo un índice de condición de pavimento de 40.40 clasificándolo como pavimento REGULAR, también se determinaron las fallas más predominantes que presenta la infraestructura vial fueron la de tipo 6 - depresión y la de tipo 10 - grietas longitudinales y transversales, el nivel de severidad fue principalmente MEDIA. De igual forma con el método VIZIR se obtuvo una clasificación de condición de 631.972 clasificándolo como pavimento REGULAR (conservación periódica). Con relación al diseño se realizó como propuesta de mejoramiento con lo cual se determinó el espesor de la losa de concreto, base y subrasante que son de 18 cm, 15 cm y 30 cm respectivamente

Data were collected taking into consideration the projections and traffic volumes in the area, the sample chosen was the pavement of the Grau Avenue extension, Raul Mata - Jardines Celestiales - 26 de octubre, Piura; which has a length of 2.88 km. In the results, the type of failures and the severity level of the pavement were identified. Likewise, the structure of the rigid pavement in the extension of Grau Avenue crossing Raúl Mata - Jardines Celestiales - 26 de octubre was designed. Finally, it was concluded that with the PCI method a pavement condition index of 40.40 was obtained, classifying it as REGULAR pavement. The most predominant faults in the road infrastructure were also determined to be type 6 - depression and type 10 - longitudinal and transversal cracks, the severity level was mainly MEDIUM. Similarly, with the VIZIR method, a condition classification of 631.972 was obtained, classifying the pavement as REGULAR (periodic maintenance).
