Se utilizaron dos cuestionarios: uno para medir el nivel de conocimiento sobre el cáncer de piel y el otro sobre la práctica de medidas paraprevenir esta enfermedad. Se encontró que el nivel de conocimiento sobre cáncer de piel en vendedores ambulantes fue regular en el 91.5% de ellos y la práctica de las medidas preventivas fue regular en el 61.0% de los vendedores.Para el análisis estadístico se utilizó la prueba de Chi Cuadrado, fijando el nivel de significancia en p <0.05,obteniendo que ambas variables no presentan relación significativa p >0.05, pues el nivel de conocimiento sobre cáncer de piel no se relacionó con la práctica de medidas preventivas en vendedores ambulantes del Centro Histórico de Trujillo en el 2014.

Two questionnaires were used: one to measure the level of knowledge about skin cancer and the other one about the preventive practicesto control the disease. On average 91.5% of the vendors was found to have knowledge about skin cancer, and 61.0 % of the practice of preventive measures was regular with the vendors.
