Todo el proceso se llevó a cabo en una población de 322 escolares, con una muestra de 175 estudiantes de una institución educativa estatal y una privada de Trujillo; teniendo como resultados para la variable Ansiedad Social un nivel bajo (71.1%) en colegio privado; y un nivel bajo (36.9%) y medio (37.7%) en colegio nacional; además, existen diferencias a nivel de ansiedad social y sus dimensiones entre una institución educativa estatal y privada de Trujillo (P=.000; p<.05), asimismo existen diferencias a nivel dimensional según sexo (p=.000; p<.05), concluyendo que la ansiedad social se expresa de manera distinta según el tipo de institución educativa y según sexo

A substantive comparative descriptive design method was employed, using the Social Anxiety Scale (EANS), developed by Robles (2019), as the evaluation instrument. The study involved 322 students, with a sample of 175 students from both a public and a private educational institution in Trujillo. Results showed a low level of social anxiety (71.1%) among private school students, and low (36.9%) and moderate (37.7%) levels among public school students. Furthermore, differences in social anxiety and its dimensions were found between public and private educational institutions in Trujillo (P=.000; p<.05). Additionally, there were dimensional differences based on gender (p=.000; p<.05).
