Este estudio se desarrolló ante la evidencia de que muchos niños no cuentan con las herramientas necesarias para afrontar adecuadamente situaciones que les generan estrés, lo que se refleja en alteraciones de su comportamiento y en dificultades para desarrollar un aprendizaje significativo. Metodológicamente se consideró un diseño de investigación no experimental de corte transversal, correlacional; del mismo modo la población muestral fue conformada por 200 padres de familia de niños de 5 años pertenecientes a la UGEL 04 de la cuidad de Trujillo. Para la recolección de datos se consideró la aplicación de dos instrumentos: Cuestionario sobre el Estrés Infantil y Cuestionario sobre el Aprendizaje Significativo, mediante los cuales se permitió medir las variables estrés infantil y aprendizaje significativo y sus dimensiones respectivas. Para conocer la correlación entre ambas variables de estudio y determinar la hipótesis se aplicó el coeficiente correlacional de Spearman, el cual brindo como resultado un Rho de -,402 y un p ,000. Por lo cual se concluye que existe una correlación negativa moderada entre ambas variables, esto indica que a mayor estrés infantil el aprendizaje significativo disminuirá por lo tanto se aceptar la hipótesis planteada.

This study was developed given the evidence that many children lack the necessary tools to adequately cope with stressful situations, which is reflected in behavioral changes and difficulties in developing meaningful learning. Methodologically, a non-experimental, cross-sectional, correlational research design was used; the sample population consisted of 200 parents of five-year-old children attending UGEL 04 in the city of Trujillo. Two instruments were used for data collection: the Childhood Stress Questionnaire and the Meaningful Learning Questionnaire, which measured the variables childhood stress and meaningful learning, along with their respective dimensions. To determine the correlation between the two study variables and to determine the hypothesis, Spearman's correlation coefficient was applied, which resulted in a Rho of -.402 and a p of .000. It is concluded that there is a moderate negative correlation between the two variables.
