Sumario:Karina del Pilar Fasanando Inga. Academic Performance and Relationship Violence and Family Communication in Students of Secondary Grade Five. C.E. Santa Rosa Tarapoto - 2002 National University of San Martin. Thesis 2003. The purpose of this retrospective study, with descriptive correlational design was to determine the relationship between academic performance and et violence and family communication in fifth grade students of secondary education "Santa Rosa" Tarapoto District State College during the year 2002. The universe shows! consisted of 291 male and female students enrolled in the fifth grade of secondary education to the survey in order to determine academic performance, and violence and family communication, to finally find the relationship between variables related applied. He reached the following conclusions: No significant evidence to reject the supposed independence between academic achievement and family violence between family nor academic performance and communication so we can not complain that underachievement is due to a causal relationship between these variables were obtained. Most promoted undefeated (205 students), reaching 70.4%, while with unsatisfactory academic performance promoted 86 students (29.6%). Only 16 of the 291 students come from qualified with "no violence" families, making a meager 5.5%, in the "low violence" were placed 198 students, representing 68%, in the category "Medium violence" found 71 students meeting . 24.4% and finally in high violence category only 6 students were placed, representing 2.1% found in miscommunication 59 students (20.3%), the category which includes the majority of students was "regular communication" on 136 students which in relative terms make 46.7% and in the "good communication" 96 students were placed, reaching 33% are located.
