description Objetivo: Evaluar la mejora del conocimiento para el manejo de desechos de especialidades farmacéuticas por medio de la intervención de consejería farmacéutica sobre ecofarmacovigilancia en un grupo de habitantes del Asentamiento Humano 10 de Octubre, San Juan de Lurigancho (Lima) comparado con un grupo control. Métodos: Enfoque cualitativo, diseño cuasi – experimental, analítico y explicativo; prospectivo y longitudinal. La población estuvo constituida por habitantes que residen en el Asentamiento Humano 10 de Octubre, de los cuales se tomó una muestra de 60 participantes de 18 a 75 años mediante muestreo no probabilístico, divididos en un grupo de intervención (ni=30) y un grupo control (nc=30). Resultado: Mediante la prueba de Wilcoxon, se evidenció que en el grupo de intervención existe diferencia significativa (p<0.05) y dicha diferencia se evidencia en la tercera dimensión (concientización sobre la eliminación de medicamentos sobrantes, vencidos y/o deteriorados), por lo tanto, la consejería farmacéutica sobre ecofarmacovigilancia repercute de manera positiva. Conclusiones: Se logró la mejora del conocimiento para el manejo de desechos de especialidades farmacéuticas por medio de la intervención de consejería farmacéutica sobre ecofarmacovigilancia en un grupo de habitantes del Asentamiento Humano 10 de Octubre, San Juan de Lurigancho (Lima) comparado con un grupo control.

Resultado: Mediante la prueba de Wilcoxon, se evidenció que en el grupo de intervención existe diferencia significativa (p<0.05) y dicha diferencia se evidencia en la tercera dimensión (concientización sobre la eliminación de medicamentos sobrantes, vencidos y/o deteriorados), por lo tanto, la consejería farmacéutica sobre ecofarmacovigilancia repercute de manera positiva.
