Objetivo: Conocer la tendencia en la producción científica de intervenciones de enfermería en la prevención de neumonía asociada a la ventilación mecánica en la unidad de cuidados intensivos. Metodología: Es una revisión documental de literatura científica, retrospectiva de tipo descriptiva. Resultados: Se incluyeron 30 artículos científicos indexados en diferentes bases de datos, teniendo en cuenta las palabras claves y los criterios de inclusión y exclusión, Las medidas que tuvieron mayor efectividad para la prevención de la NAV fueron: elevación de la cabecera en un rango de 30º a 45º (26.6%), higiene bucodental con clorhexidina al 0.12% - 0.2% (23.3%), lavado de manos (16.6%) y verificación de la presión del neumotaponamiento (10%). Conclusiones: Para asegurar la eficacia de las intervenciones no basta con la aplicación de solo una intervencion, se necesita la aplicación de varias intervenciones engranadas, asi como contar con los recursos necesarios y con el personal capacitado en el manejo con calidad del paciente portador de ventilador mecánico. |

Objective: To determine the trend in the scientific production of nursing interventions in the prevention of ventilator associated pneumonia in the intensive care unit. Methodology: It is a documentary review of scientific literature, retrospective of a descriptive type. Results: A total of 30 scientific articles indexed in different databases were included, taking into account the keywords and the inclusion and exclusion criteria. The measures that were most effective for the prevention of VAP were: elevation of the head in a range of 30º to 45º (26.6%), oral hygiene with chlorhexidine at 0.12%-0.2% (23.3%), hand washing (16.6%) and pneumotamponade pressure verification (10%).
