The appropriate time for delivery is determined by gestational age and fetal condition.La restricción de crecimiento fetal (RCF) es una circunstancia clínica en la cual el feto no expresa su potencial genética de crecimiento y como resultado final ocurre una disminución en el peso corporal, el cual queda por debajo del percentil 10 para la edad gestacional, en una curva de crecimiento seleccionada. Entre los factores etiológicos incluyen: causas maternas, fetales y placentarias. Se clasifica en Precoz y tardía.
