Trujillo: Colegio de Ingenieros del Perú, 7 p.https://hdl.handle.net/20.500.12544/3362VIII Congreso Nacional de Minería, Trujillo, 19 – 22 octubre 2010.7 páginasLa “XII Franja de Epitermales de Au-Ag del Cretácico superior – Paleoceno” se ubica al Noroeste del territorio peruano, dentro del dominio occidental volcánico sedimentario de la cuenca Lancones en la región Piura; y abarca los distritos de Paimas, Suyo, Lancones y Las Lomas, y parte de la provincia de Ayabaca. El control estructural regional corresponde a fallas dextrales de rumbo general NE – SO, NO – SE y E – O que conforman el dominio estructural Jubones Huaypirá. Los depósitos minerales de esta franja se hospedan en secuencias volcánicas del Albiano – Turoniano de las formaciones La Bocana y Lancones, y controlados por sistemas de fallas NE-NO y N-S. Los fluidos magmáticos relacionados a la mineralización en este sector corresponden a intrusiones del Batolito de la Costa, las cuales se habrían emplazado mediante zonas de tensión con dirección NE – SO.
