Resúmenes extendidos.5 páginasEn los departamentos de Ayacucho - Huancavelica afloran rocas monogenéticas (SiO2 entre 50 a 62%) en forma de pequeños edificios volcánicos y flujos de lava. Estas rocas tienen edades que van desde el Mioceno al Plioceno y estructuralmente se ubican en una zona triangular débil. La composición monogenética de estos magmas es independiente de la edad de emplazamiento (Mioceno-Plioceno). La variación geoquímica en las concentraciones de Sr, Nd es espacial y en base a estas concentraciones se define dos dominios litosféricos con diferentes litosferas sub-continentales: 1) Dominio Este (Sr = 1130 a 2200) y 2) Dominio Oeste (Sr=300 a 700) y una Zona de Transición (Sr=700-1130). La Zona de Transición tiene un ancho de 50 km. Los sistemas de fallas que limitan el Dominio Este y Dominio Oeste corresponden entonces a estructuras transcorticales.
