Sumario:The purpose of this work is to demonstrate the oral expression skill is improved by using theater technique in second-grade students from the I.E 18001 "Miguel Rubio" – Chachapoyas. This applied research was used within quantitative approach, correlational study level and quasi experimental, 30 students were the study sample selected by non-probability sampling convenience. This work shows very satisfactory results, because students have significantly improved the development of oral expression in the dimensions of pronunciation, fluency, elocution and narration. Before applying theatre technique, it was observed that 10% of the students were at an initial level in oral expression, and 90% were at a process level, but after implementing theatre workshops as a teaching strategy, 100% of the students achieved a level of oral expression. Finally, this research concluded that the theatre technique worked effective to improve students' oral expression.
