The following research Project titled “Regional stories to improve the reading comprehension in students in second grade Los Angeles school from Pedro Castro, Chachapoyas – 20223” this research aimed to analyze in what method the regional stories help to improve the reading comprehension. The research was applied and quantitative, with a pre experimental design based in a pre and post test with just one group. The population was formed by 38 students registered in the two classroom of second grade. The sample was formed by 28 students, an objective exam was used as instrument, and we use an observation guide validated for an expert group. As results in pre test 100% was in starter level, while in the post test 83%was in achieved level and 17% was in featured level. In conclusion the regional stories was good to improve significantly the reading comprehension.
