PROGRAMA DE ESTIMULACIÓN DE LAS HABILIDADES PRELECTORAS EN NIÑOS Y NIÑAS DE EDUCACIÓN INICIAL DE LA PROV. CONSTITUCIONAL DEL CALLAO - PERÚ

Este estudio analiza los resultados del Programa para la Estimulación de las Habilidades Prelectoras, al cual se ha denominado “Leíto. Preparémonos para la Lectura”, aplicado a una muestra de niños y niñas de educación inicial de la Provincia Constitucional del Callao. Los participantes fueron 60 niños y niñas, con una media de edad de 5 años, de dos instituciones educativas públicas de la Provincia Constitucional del Callao, en el Perú. Como parte del diseño seleccionado en la presente investigación, de los 60 sujetos, 30 de ellos fueron asignados al Grupo Experimental (GE) y 30 al Grupo Control (GC). Todos los sujetos fueron evaluados en dos momentos: pre y pos test con el Test de Habilidades Prelectoras (T.H.P.) de Velarde, E.; Meléndez, C.; Canales, R. y Lingán, K. (2010). Al grupo experimental se le aplicó el programa cognitivo y psicolingüístico de estimulación de las habilidades prelectoras en el horario escolar, destinando 16 horas a la semana y durante 4 meses. Los resultados indicaron que la aplicación de un programa de orientación cognitiva y psicolingüística que incluye la estimulación de la conciencia fonológica, la memoria verbal y el lenguaje oral a través de su componente semántico y sintáctico, mejoran las habilidades prelectoras en niños intervenidos a diferencia de los que no fueron sometidos al programa experimental. Se recomienda la divulgación del mismo para mejorar las competencias prelectoras, previniendo futuros problemas de aprendizaje en la lectura y escritura.
This study analyses the results of the program for the pre skills stimulation readers which has been called: “Leíto: Ready for reading” applied to a sample of children of preschool education of the constitutional province of Callao. The participants were 60 children with an average age of 5 years, two public educational institutions of the constitutional province of Callao in the Peru. As part of the design selected in this research, 60 subjects, 30 of them were assigned to the Experimental Group (GE) and 30 to the Control Group (GC). All subjects were evaluated in two moments: pre and post test with Test skills pre-readers (T.H.P.) of Velarde, E. and Meléndez, C.; Canales, R. and Lingán, K. (2010). The experimental group was the cognitive program and psycholinguistic stimulation of skills pre reading school time, devoting 16 hours a week for 4 months. The results indicated that the implementation of a program of cognitive orientation and psycholinguistics that includes phonemic awareness, verbal memory stimulation and oral language through its component semantic and syntactic, improve skills pre readers in children operated as opposed to those who were not subject to the pilot program. The disclosure is recommended to improve reading pre competencies preventing future problems of learning in reading and writing.
