Job satisfaction is defined as a pleasurable or positive emotional state resulting from a subjective perception of the work experiences of the subject (1). Worker satisfaction in the performance of their duties plays a very important role in the quality of health care; therefore the measurement of job satisfaction is a necessary task. In Peru we have limited information on job satisfaction that presents health personnel in some areas experiencing armed conflict, one being the sector Kiteni Echarate district (adjacent to the VRAE - Valley of the Apurimac and Ene rivers) of the Province of the Convention in the region of Cusco (2).

Background: Vitamin B12 deficiency is a nutritional problem that can present with neurological and hematological manifestations. There are limited reports on the appearance of involuntary movements when initiating cyanocobalamin treatment. Case report: A 5-month-old infant presented vomiting, paleness, and difficulty holding his head. Among the examinations, pancytopenia and vitamin B12 deficiency were found in the patient and the mother. Treatment with folic acid and cyanocobalamin was administered; However, on the fourth day of treatment, she presented choreiform movements for which clonazepam was administered. The tomography and the electroencephalogram were normal. At follow-up, the platelet and leukocyte count improved and the movements gradually remitted. Background: Stroke is a leading cause of mortality and disability worldwide. Research activity in Latin American countries might be the key to solving, or at least improving, the understanding of stroke-related issues in the region. Our aim was to describe and analyze the research output on stroke in Latin America. Methods: We performed a bibliometric analysis of studies on stroke in Latin America reported from 2003 to 2017 in Scopus-indexed journals. We extracted the annual research, countries, journals, authors, institutions, citation frequency, and journal metrics. The data were quantitatively analyzed. Publication activity was adjusted to the countries by population size. Also, the results from an author and country co-occurrence analysis are presented as network visualization maps using VOSviewer.
