From June 1, 1952 to May 31, 1956. we have seen 14 cases of cancer of the vulva at the Instituto Nacional de Enfermedades Neoplásicas. This represent a 0.82% of the all the malignancies of lhe genital tract (1691 cases). This percentages is lower than reported by other authors, This, however, is relativo, because we have a high frequency of carcinoma of the cervix. AII these patients were of the past menopausal age. The youngest was 58 an the oldest 85 years. The greatest numbers of cases were between the ages of 60 and 70 years, as Taussig found. The results of clinical trial of EMD 18-140 product that is a combination of natural conjugated estrogens for the treatment of climacteric syndrome occurs. The clinical material is constituted by 46 patients with climacteric symptoms varied, with predominance first of vasomotor disorders, second of neuropsychiatric disorders, thirdly other conditions. The trial has been followed by a period longer than six months, being induced beneficial effects after the first month of treatment. They have been increasing and sustaining throughout the treatment period. The EMD 18-140, drug does not cause lesions on liver as evidenced by the respective functional testing, however no favorable evidence from the topographic point of view, as evidenced by the value indices of maturation.

We believe this is a cancer that originates in endometrial stromal cells and malignant consider of its invasive and metastatic capacity. We consider appropriate the term Endometrial Sarcoma because it expresses the malignant nature of the lesion, its histogenesis and place of origin. We wish to draw attention to this entity with histologic features and very private clinics, separating adenomyosis and uterine stromal sarcoma no origin, for better recognition by the pathologist and institution of appropriate therapy.

We considered that a combination treatment of radium plus radical surgery to endocervical and mesonephric adenocarcinoma in clinical stage I and II, is the best procedure.
