Objetivos: Determinar la frecuencia de “aspirado seco”, el diagnóstico de la enfermedad de fondo y las características clínicas asociadas. Materiales y métodos: Se revisaron 1358 informes de aspirados de médula ósea realizados en el Hospital Nacional Cayetano Heredia entre 1º de enero de 1990 y 31 de marzo de 1996. Resultados: Entre los 1358 informes de aspirado de médula ósea se encontraron 39 aspirados secos lo que constituye una frecuencia de 2.9%. Las patologías más frecuentes asociadas a aspirado seco de médula ósea fueron las mieloptisis neoplásicas con 52.9% de los casos y de ellas las leucemias con 35.3%. Otros diagnósticos fueron síndrome de inmunodeficiencia adquirida con 11.8% y aplasia medular con 11.8%. En el 14.7% de los aspirados secos las biopsias no mostraron patología medular significativa. Objetivo: Describir la experiencia en nuestro hospital en el tratamiento de anemia aplásica severa con globulina antilinfocítica. Materiales y Metodos: Se estudiaron 58 pacientes con AAS diagnosticados entre 1988-1998 de los cuales 25 recibieron Globulina antilinfocítica (GAL), 56% de ellos eran menores a 20 años de edad,19 de los pacientes tratados con GAL son del sexo masculino . Resultado: Respondieron favorablemente 68%(17pacientes),la mayoría de ellos (64%)alcanzaron esta respuesta durante los primeros 6 meses. Un paciente evolucionó a Hemoglobinuria paroxística nocturna (HPN), efectos adversos fueron leves y de corta duración.

Objective: To determine the epidemiological, clinical and pathological characteristics of lymphoma cases in Cayetano Heredia National Hospital. Material and methods: We conducted a descriptive and retrospective case series including 433 patients with lymphoma diagnosed from 1998 to 2008. Results: Average age of patients was 44.8 years, and 60.04% were male. Most frequent birthplace and living area was Lima, with 61.5% and 90% of all patients, respectively. Most frequent symptoms were weight loss and lymph node enlargement (40.5% and 3,7%, respectively). More than half of all patients (55.08%) were in I-II clinical stages. The most frequent location of the disease was in the lymph nodes (55.1%). Extranodal locations were the gastrointestinal tract (15.2%) and the skin (10.8%). We describe the surgical management of a patient who had gallbladder stones and hemolytic anemia by spherocytosis. On this patient we performed cholecystectomy and splenectomy by laparoscopic approach without any complications and a succesfully post operative period.

The C Hepatitis, it is a RNA virus of the Flaviviridae family, that introduces within their spectra of infection, manifestations liverworts and extrahepatic, being these last few frequent. Crioglobulinas could be detected in a third of patient with C hepatitis, but in only 1-2% of the cases develop cutaneous manifestations, some of this manifestatios are vaculitis with acronecrosis. The infection for C hepatitis occurs in other countries with diferent prevalence, they have more prevalence than in our countrie, being different to the prevalence for other types of viral hepatitis (B hepatitis). We are introduced the case of a patient attended to in our department with infection for C hepatitis and extrahepatic manifestations(acronecrosis) associate to presence of crioglobulinas.
