El presente estudio, tuvo como objetivo determinar la relación que existe entre el nivel de conocimiento sobre salud bucal de los padres y la higiene oral en los alumnos del Centro Educativo Básico Especial del distrito de Iquitos, año 2017. El tipo de Investigación es Cuantitativo, el diseño es No Experimental, tipo descriptivo correlacional transversal. La muestra estuvo conformada por 62 alumnos y padres de familia. Los instrumentos utilizados para identificar el nivel de conocimiento fue un cuestionario y para la higiene oral se utilizó una ficha de registro del Índice de Higiene Oral. Objective: To describe the aesthetic modification of the surgical technique for upper labial frenulum (frenectomy) to preserve the interdental papilla of vestibular frenulum with low insertion. Case report: A female 9-year-1-month-old patient attended the Dental Clinic of Universidad Científica del Sur, Lima-Peru. Clinical examination revealed a low insertion of upper labial frenulum, and the presence of a central diastema diagnosed as positive in the Graber test. After local dental anesthesia, a modified “Y” shaped incision was made to preserve the interdental papilla. Then, the papilla was divided using a split-thickness papillary flap technique with the complete removal of the transgingival alveolar fiber. Total elimination of the papilla was avoided. Purpose: To review information regarding to options for hypersensitivity of teeth affected with Molar-Incisor Hypomineralization (MIH). Material and Methods: A bibliographic search was carried out in the Scopus, PubMed/Medline and SciELO databases. The terms “Molar-incisor Hypomineralization”, “Dental Hypersensitivity” and “Treatment” were used for search. The selection criteria included articles published in Spanish, Portuguese, and English languages published in the last 10 years. Case reports, cross-sectional studies, case-controls, and randomized clinical trials were included. According to the presence of duplicates, and inclusion criteria, 14 articles were included in the review.
