This article aims to synthesize the Ashaninka story based on the review of texts of scientific, social and historical production to understand its current situation. The Ashaninkas throughout the centuries have faced various episodes that have especially focused on history and its identity. One was the commercial and cultural exchange with the Arawak-speaking peoples and the Andean world, evangelization by Dominican and Franciscan missionaries, the colonization of the Peruvian Central Forest, the extraction of rubber and the cultivation of coffee in large estates. Their union and respect for ancestral customs currently characterize them. Its economy is based on hunting, fishing and agriculture.

Los ashaninkas a lo largo de los siglos han enfrentado diversos episodios que han marcado de manera especial la historia y su identidad. Uno fue el intercambio co- mercial y cultural con los pueblos de lengua arawak y el mundo an- dino, la evangelización por misioneros dominicos y franciscanos, la colonización de la selva central peruana, la extracción del caucho y el cultivo de café en las grandes haciendas. El objetivo de la investigación fue evaluar dos disponibilidades iniciales (8200 y 14 500 kg de MSV por hectárea) de Andropogon gayanus a una presión de pastoreo (1100 PV/100kg MSV). La investigación se realizó en la Subestación Experimental Quilichao del Centro Internacional de Agricultura Tropical (CIAT) en Cauca, Colombia. El diseño fue completamente al azar, con cuatro réplicas. La disponibilidad de forraje fue medida por el método de doble rango visual, se realizaron 40 observaciones al azar, al inicio, cada dos horas durante las primeras seis horas y luego cada cuatro horas hasta llegar a las 72 h, el tiempo de permanencia de los novillos en la parcela fue de tres días.
